The summer movie season is upon us — and the race is on by movie studios to win over your hard-earned dollars. You have plenty of films to choose from between May and August, but not everything, of course, is worth your time or money.

Here are 10 movies coming out this summer you may actually want to take a trip to the theater to see. They’re listed in order of release date.

1.) “The Wall” (May 12). Director Doug Liman (“The Bourne Identity”) is taking on the war on terror, but he’s dropping the politics and suits and instead telling a smaller-scale human story focused on three men.

Starring wrestler John Cena and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, “The Wall” follows two snipers in a standoff as a man’s life hangs in the balance.
