War is Upon the Docile West

An elderly Catholic priest was brutally murdered by two ISIS terrorists on Tuesday.

Despite the gun control machinations of western liberal leaders, this horrific assault did not require assault weapons, it did not require explosives, it only required a target society too willing to embrace its own demise.

Since the beginning of 2015, there have been 21 attacks by Islamic militants in France, killing over 200 people.

After entering the church near Rouen, France — and taking worshipers and nuns hostage — the knife-wielding attackers cut the priest’s throat. Another hostage was stabbed and is reportedly in critical condition.

The evil of ISIS is increasingly spinning out of control. The group’s reach and the extreme and graphic nature of its attacks — and their frequency — seem only to grow. Tuesday’s attack is the fifth such incident in 30 days, and the second in a week.

“We have reached a point where the broad Western public are [sic] becoming desensitized to terrorist atrocities, they have become so frequent that the usual cycle of mourning and recrimination is no longer complete before the next attack begins,” said Ben Harris-Quinney, chairman of the Bow Group, the U.K.’s oldest conservative think tank.

In Ansbach, Germany, on Sunday, a Syrian migrant detonated a nail-packed suicide bomb at a wine bar, after being denied entry into a music festival. On July 18, a Muslim attacked people with an ax on a train in Wuerzburg, Germany.

The following day, in Garda-Colombe, France, a mother and her three daughters were attacked by a Muslim for being insufficiently clothed. On July 14, a Muslim migrant in Nice, France, drove into a group of revelers celebrating Bastille Day and killed 84, including 10 children.

But Tuesday’s brutal attack did not require semi-automatic rifles, bombs, or weapons of mass destruction — it required only a civilization unwilling to defend itself from an ever-growing and ever-present threat.

Despite clear cultural incompatibilities — not to mention a violent, radical Salafist-led insurgency engulfing the region — the perfidious, politically correct leaders of the West welcomed with enthusiasm the prospect of Muslim migration.

“The big problem in much of France is last year, 1.8 million people came into the E.U. [European Union] without one of them being security checked,” former UKIP leader Nigel Farage said following the Nice attack.

Of course, multiculturalist fantasy was quickly pushed violently aside by cold, hard reality. “ISIS said a year ago that they would use the migrant refugee crisis as a means of flooding the continent with their jihadis — that’s the problem,” Farage said.

Now, having opened the gates to those who wish our destruction, the recreants in office appear unwilling to do anything to address the problem properly.

“There has been a distinct lack of political will to address the root causes of domestic terrorism, and the society that a failed doctrine of multiculturalism has produced,” Harris-Quinney noted.

Indeed, after the attack in Nice, French President François Hollande’s response was to declare that France “will further strengthen our actions in Iraq and in Syria. We will continue striking those who attack us on our own soil.”

Of course, those who are attacking the French people on French soil are not in Iraq or Syria — they are in France. But Hollande, like his peers in government elsewhere in Europe and in the U.S., is proposing nothing to adequately defeat the radical Islamic enemy within.

“With rare exceptions, Western leaders pretend that the jihad is no more than a bunch of confused teenagers and mentally disturbed adults,” said Daniel Pipes, president of the Middle East Forum. “Eventually, however, they will either recognize reality or be replaced by politicians who do.”

Declaring states of emergency and sending more Western men to die in the Middle East will not prevent Islamic terror attacks in the West. However, stricter immigration measures, stricter policing of Muslim communities and increased surveillance thereof, and abandoning the multicultural myth that two inherently incompatible cultures can coexist peacefully will.

“Religious freedom has been an important aspect of modern Western society, but more than a decade of inaction means that radical reform to immigration and security policy is now necessary to address the reality that, with a new attack more than every week, continental Europe is close to a state of war,” Harris-Quinney said.
