A video released by conservative activist group Project Veritas on Wednesday morning reveals that a close Clinton associate said black people who don’t vote for the Democratic Party are “seriously f**ked in the head.”

According to Benjamin Barber, a political theorist, author, and former adviser to President Bill Clinton, black conservatives and black Americans who don’t blindly follow the Democratic Party are the moral equivalent of Jews who aided Nazis kill other Jews.

“You know the sonderkommando, Jewish guards who, in effect, helped murder Jews in the camps so they could live a little longer?” Barber asked the undercover reporter. “There were even Jews who were helping the Nazis murder Jews,” he explained.

“Blacks who are helping the other side are seriously f**ked in the head. They’re only helping the enemy who wants to destroy them,” Barber continued. “Maybe they think: ‘If I help them we’ll get along okay; somehow I’ll save my race by working with the murderers.'”

Barber’s comments are indefensible. To assert that African-Americans who don’t vote for Democrats are somehow traitors to their race is extremely offensive — but to compare them to Jews who aided in the genocide of their own people is utterly beyond the pale.

He also clearly implied that Republicans are morally and politically relatable to Nazis.

The largest outstanding question regarding Barber’s comments is the extent to which the mainstream media will hold Hillary Clinton accountable for the offensive rant from one of her supporters — or even force her campaign to comment. The media covered intensely the news that white supremacist David Duke was backing Donald Trump. Members of the media hounded the GOP nominee and his running mate Gov. Mike Pence to comment on Duke’s support and past comments.
