President-Elect Donald Trump was once again confirmed the winner in Wisconsin Monday after a statewide recount was completed — netting Trump an additional 131 votes.

A recount was forced in the state by Green Party nominee Jill Stein and supported by the Clinton campaign, despite the fact Trump’s certified margin of victory was more than 22,000 votes. In a desperate effort to undermine Trump’s victory, Stein has maintained recounts should be pursued in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Wisconsin’s recount of roughly 3 million votes resulted in a 0.06 percent change.

In Pennsylvania, Stein’s crusade took a major blow when a Philadelphia judge rejected her request for a recount and wrote that the claims made by Stein to justify a recount bordered “on the irrational.”

“With the recount finished in Wisconsin, we applaud the countless workers and observers who helped ensure a full recount throughout the state,” Stein said in a statement following the conclusions of Wisconsin’s recount. “This recount was never about changing the outcome; it was about validating the vote and restoring confidence in our voting system to Americans across the country who have doubts.”

After all was said and done, Stein herself was still left with approximately 1 percent of the state’s total votes.

“A healthy democracy provides space for questioning and conversation, and checks our systems of decision-making — including how we cast votes,” Stein tweeted Tuesday.

As for Michigan, the third key state in Stein’s quest for recounts, a federal judge shut down a statewide recount Wednesday.
