“The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News was the most-watched show across all cable networks on Friday night, beating every other show during the critical 8-11 p.m. period — peaking with 4.68 million viewers overall and 1.174 million in the critical demo viewer segment.
Host Laura Ingraham’s 10 p.m. slot was the heart of Fox coverage of President Donald Trump’s nationally televised address earlier in the evening announcing the joint strikes by American, British and French military forces against chemical weapons facilities in Syria.
Ingraham was far ahead of her CNN and MSNBC rivals in the time slot, with the latter’s Brian Williams — filling in for usual host Laurence O’Donnell — drawing 2.59 million viewers overall and the former’s Don Lemon getting 2.55 million.
In the critical demo, however, Lemon beat Williams, 1.02 million viewers to 597,000.
Sean Hannity in the 9 p.m. time slot was second in overall viewers for the evening, with 4.48 million and 991,000 in the demo.
Rachel Maddow brought MSNBC in second in the time slot with 3.28 million viewers overall and 681,000 in the demo. Third overall was CNN’s Andersen Cooper with 2.27 million, but second in the demo with 818,000.
