Sessions, DOJ ‘Better Be Doing Something’ on Hillary, Dossier, Eric Trump Says

Eric Trump, President Donald Trump’s second son, said Thursday during “The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News that he “really hope[s]” Attorney General Jeff Sessions is “doing something” about the use of the unverified Trump-Russia dossier by Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration.

Trump noted that the dossier, authored by former British spy Christopher Steele, was funded by Clinton’s presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) during the 2016 election. The Department of Justice and the FBI used the dossier to obtain surveillance warrants against Trump campaign officials.

“You see how crazy this dossier is, being paid by everybody in government to slander my father so they could investigate him … I mean, they literally dug so deep that they ended up finding themselves. It’s amazing how things come full circle,” Trump told host Laura Ingraham.

“And you know what? They caught themselves in the process. I really hope the Justice Department — I hope they do something about it,” Trump said.

Ingraham asked the president’s son if he believes Sessions was “doing enough to investigate the Obama administration’s involvement with pushing that phony dossier” after knowing “who funded it, knowing what it was, what was behind it, who was behind it?”

“No,” Trump replied. “Honestly, I don’t know, but I hope he is. I really hope he is because it’s sad and it’s disgusting. And I think so many of the facts have come to light and they’re bad facts and they’re bad facts for the other side. And it’s deeply troubling, and we’d better be doing something about it, otherwise there’s a lot of injustice in this country.”

Trump ripped Democratic lawmakers and media members for using “absolutely anything they can” to take his father and his family “down” because “they’re afraid of all of his successes” with the economy.

“There’s nothing that we don’t get attacked for because, quite frankly, Democrats don’t have their own platform. They don’t have their own leadership. They’ve got no good ideas. They’ve got no good bench of candidates,” Trump said. “They’re petrified over what’s happening in this country, the fact that people are putting more money in their pocket and all the great things that we talked about before.”

“They do anything that they can to undermine our family because it seems like it’s the only moves that they have,” Trump said.

Following the Trump interview Ingraham interviewed Ariana Klein, a student who survived last week’s mass shooting, which left 17 people dead at a Florida high school, and her father, Andrew Klein.

Ingraham pointed to CNN’s Thursday town hall with Florida lawmakers and school shooting survivors and parents. Survivor Colton Haab claimed Thursday that CNN wrote a scripted question for him to ask at the town hall.

In response, CNN issued a statement claiming “there is absolutely no truth to this. CNN did not provide or script questions for anyone in last night’s town hall, nor have we ever.”

But Ingraham pointed out that CNN has “a history of planting questions,” adding that “most of the students … had the same opinion on what to do, namely to ban certain weapons, you know, to trash the NRA, to be really disrespectful to [Sen.] Marco Rubio [R-Fla.] and nasty things being said to [NRA spokeswoman] Dana Loesch, she was there,” Ingraham said.

“But they all seemed to be pretty much in agreement, as far as I could tell. There was no diversity of opinion among either the students or anyone else that I saw, even in the audience.”
