Approximately 73 percent of American voters approve of President Donald Trump’s performance in fighting for American jobs, according to an ABC News/Washington Post poll released Sunday.

The poll, which surveyed 1,004 voters April 17 -20 with the purpose of measuring Trump’s performance during his first 100 days in office, found that a significant majority of Americans believe the president is effectively pressuring U.S. companies to keep jobs in the country. In addition, 53 percent of respondents find Trump to be a strong leader.

“As noted, this poll finds no evidence of buyer’s remorse among Trump supporters,” the polling analysis read. “Among those who report having voted for him in November, 96 percent today say it was the right thing to do; a mere 2 percent regret it. And if a rerun of the election were held today, the poll indicates even the possibility of a Trump victory in the popular vote among 2016 voters.”

Although there is little “buyer’s remorse” among Trump voters, fewer of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s voters felt the same way, the poll found. While 96 percent of Trump voters said they’d stick with him if the election were held again today, just 85 percent of Clinton voters indicated the same.

Of those who wouldn’t support their original candidate, most indicated they would opt for a third-party candidate instead.

The Democratic Party as a whole didn’t fare too well in the poll, with 67 percent of respondents saying that the party is “out of touch with the concerns of most Americans.” In contrast, 62 percent of respondents say the Republican Party is “out of touch.”

Trump himself took notice of the poll as he tweeted out some of its positive findings in two Sunday tweets.

“New polls out today are very good considering that much of the media is FAKE and almost always negative. Would still beat Hillary in … popular vote. ABC News/Washington Post Poll (wrong big on election) said almost all stand by their vote on me & 53% said strong leader,” Trump tweeted.

The ABC News/ Washington Post poll did find that Trump’s overall approval ratings approaching his 100th day were the lowest thus far of any other president going back to former President Harry S. Truman in 1945.

Overall, 67 percent of conservatives, 37 percent of moderates, and 9 percent of liberals say they approve of Trump’s overall performance just prior to the 100-day benchmark. In addition, 73 percent of evangelical white Protestants approve of the president.

Roughly half, 49 percent of respondents, believe the economy is staying the same. Thirty percent say it is improving, while just 18 percent say it is getting worse. A plurality of American approve of Trump’s handling of North Korea and Syria.
