Indiana Gov. Mike Pence issued a final appeal to undecided or reluctant voters on Election Day when he urged them to cast their ballots for Donald Trump and return the nation to its “highest aspirations and ideals” during an interview Tuesday on “The Laura Ingraham Show.”

The GOP nominee’s running mate said this election just comes down to a simple choice: the choice between “change” and “the status quo.” If Americans want another four years of the leadership of President Obama that has “weakened America’s place in the world,” stifled the economy, and drawn the country further away from “our most cherished constitutional ideals and principles,” Pence said the choice was clear — vote for Hillary Clinton.

“At the end of the day, the pundits, the pollsters, the talking heads on the endless panels on cable television, they’ve had their say. Today, the American people have their say.”

But if Americans dare to dream big and make the political Establishment hear and heed their frustrations, Pence urged them to cast their ballots for Trump.

“They can vote for change. And that change only comes when we elect Donald Trump as president of the United States,” Pence said. “I truly do believe that Donald Trump has both the leadership and the vision to turn this country around.”

Saying that it has been “very humbling” for him and his wife to witness the spirit and determination of the American people, Pence said that Trump’s ability to articulate a message that has been resonating with millions of Americans all across the country will win the day.

“I really do believe Donald Trump is articulating a message that has given voice to the frustrations and the aspirations of the American people, really across the spectrum,” Pence said.

As for the NeverTrumpers like Ohio Gov. John Kasich and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who refused to honor their pledges to support their party’s nominee, Pence had one message:

“This is a campaign that is going to be remembered, I think, because it was a time when the American people weren’t so much looking to the pundits and the pollsters and even the politicians. They were looking to one another. They were looking to their highest aspirations and ideals. They were talking to one another. And I believe Donald Trump is going to be elected president of the United States tonight, and I think it’s going to be a great, great victory for millions of Americans who know we can be stronger, know we can be more prosperous — know we can do all that — that celebrates and cherishes our highest aspirations and our ideals.”

“At the end of the day, the pundits, the pollsters, the talking heads on the endless panels on cable television — they’ve had their say,” Pence concluded. “Today, the American people have their say.”
