President Obama didn’t pull any punches in his remarks at his final White House Correspondents Association dinner. Obama took shots at the most obvious target — GOP front-runner Donald Trump — but also at those within his own party.

Every year Washington’s elite, the media, and Hollywood celebrities gather in the nation’s capital for a fancy soiree — where the president is expected to take on the role of stand-up comedian. This year, Obama had a lot of fodder with the 2016 presidential race in full swing.

Trump, who did not attend the event (although his son, Eric Trump, along with his wife, Lara, was in attendance) — was the brunt of the jokes. “I am a little hurt he’s not here tonight,” Obama said. “We had so much fun the last time. And it is surprising — you have a room full of reporters, celebrities, cameras. And he says no. Is this dinner too tacky for The Donald? What could he possibly be doing instead? Eating a Trump Steak? Tweeting out insults to Angela Merkel? What’s he doing?”

Obama didn’t stop there when it came to poking fun at Trump. “And there’s one area where Donald’s experience could be invaluable — and that’s closing Guantanamo,” Obama said. “Because Trump knows a thing of two about running waterfront properties into the ground.”

Once Obama finished his remarks, “The Nightly Show” host and comedian Larry Wilmore took the stage and focused his jokes on Trump. “Nice to be here, though, at the White House Correspondents Dinner where, as you know, they’re gonna call it next year, ‘Donald Trump Hosts a Luxurious Dinner Paid For by Mexico,’ ” Wilmore said.

Wilmore met the ire of the media, however, since he also directed his fire at them. “Frankly, Donald Trump, his campaign is inspiring … mass violence,” Wilmore said. “And whenever I turn on the TV, I see Trump’s family campaigning for him, gushing all over him. Or as it’s also known, ‘Morning Joe.'”

Obama also took it upon himself to criticize the very audience before him, those in the media, for giving what he termed “appropriate” coverage of the GOP front-runner’s candidacy. “All right, that’s probably enough,” Obama said. “I’ve got more material — no, no, I don’t want to spend too much time on The Donald. Following your lead, I want to show some restraint. Because I think we can all agree that from the start, he’s gotten the appropriate amount of coverage, befitting the seriousness of his candidacy.”

However, in the first few minutes of his remarks, Obama took a major dig at Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, who took a lot of heat at the beginning of the month for making a joke about running on “colored people time.” “I do apologize — I know I was a little late tonight,” Obama said. “I was running on C.P.T. — which stands for ‘jokes that white people should not make.'”

What’s more, he even joked about Clinton’s paid Wall Street speeches. “If this material works well, I’m going to use it at Goldman Sachs next year,” Obama said.

The only presidential candidate in the audience was Sen. Bernie Sanders, who Obama joked is the “bright new face of the Democratic Party.”

Both Obama and Wilmore had big finishes. Obama, brandishing a wireless microphone, praised “our democracy,” then said, “And with that, I just have two more words to say — Obama out,” as he dropped the mic.

Wilmore, who is black, said to Obama, “Words alone do me no justice,” he said. “So, Mr. President, if I’m going to keep it 100,” he said, pounding his chest. “Yo, Barry, you did it, my n*gga!'”
