For Gainor of MRC, the issue boils down to a simple point.

“Why can’t anyone at Vox understand that every single illegal immigrant crime that happens in the U.S. wouldn’t happen if the illegal immigrants were somewhere else?” he said.

Another sticking point for the liberals at Vox is their observation that Carlson defends Western civilization and Western values.

“But the thing white supremacists love most about Donald Trump is his rejection of multiculturalism,” the Vox narrator claims.

The rejection of multiculturalism and globalism is not only common among most mainstream conservatives, according to Gainor, but among most Americans in general.

“The core issue is that liberals refuse to understand that most Americans don’t embrace globalism, even though liberals do. We see how globalism is working out for Europe and know that’s a mistake for America,” he said.

Ray, of FAIR, says open-borders advocates commonly turn to smear tactics because they cannot build support for their globalist positions.

“The anti-borders lobby has one main mission on the immigration issue: protect the status quo of historically high levels of mass legal immigration, accompanied by virtually uncontrolled illegal immigration,” he said.

“Their main obstacle is the American public that believes legal immigration levels should be reduced, and the nation has a duty to regain control of its borders and its destiny. Since mass-immigration advocates can’t win the battle on the merit of their arguments, they have resorted to blatant and slanderous name-calling,” said Ray. “It’s the tactic of killing the messenger to stop the message. Name-calling and outright slander are the tools of their trade, and they wield them liberally.”
