Fox News announced today that President Donald Trump will do a sit-down interview with Laura Ingraham to air on her new 10 p.m. show, “The Ingraham Angle,” on Thursday night.

Trump is expected to talk with Ingraham about tax reform, his upcoming trip to Asia, and Tuesday’s terrorist attack in New York City.

Ingraham, the founder and editor-in-chief of LifeZette, debuted the new show on Monday, October 30, with an interview of White House Chief of Staff John F. Kelly.

Early in the summer, Ingraham was rumored to be in the running for the job of press secretary to Trump, but in an appearance on “Fox & Friends” in June appeared to back away from the possibility, saying, “I’m not sure the press secretary thing is something I’m dying to do.”

Among conservative media personalities, Ingraham was one of the earliest enthusiastic backers of Donald Trump’s candidacy, along with Sean Hannity.

But Ingraham also has not hesitated to criticize the president. In September, after Democratic leaders Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) told the media that Trump had agreed in a private meeting to support an amnesty for illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children, and would not demand funding for a border wall in exchange, Ingraham let loose, writing on Twitter: “When does American working class w/out real wage increase in 15yrs & who send their kids to overcrowded public schools get amnesty?”

In another tweet, she called the bargain the “art of the steal.”

The last time the president sat down for a television interview was October 11, when Fox News host Sean Hannity interviewed Trump in front of a live audience at the Air National Guard Base in Middletown, Pennsylvania. Trump had given a major speech there on his plans for tax cuts.

Ingraham has been a Fox News contributor since 2007 and is the author of the new book “Billionaire at the Barricades: The Populist Revolution from Reagan to Trump.”
