Hillary’s Hollow Call for ‘Tough Vetting’

In the wake of new terrorists attacks carried out against American citizens by foreign-born Muslim extremists, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton attempted to obscure her radical position on Syrian refugee resettlement.

At a press conference in White Plains, New York, Monday, Clinton said she has been a proponent of “tough vetting” for refugees.

“We know that Hillary Clinton and President Obama lie to the American people when they say they can safely screen the Syrian refugees.”

“So I am absolutely in favor of and have long been an advocate for tough vetting, for making sure that we don’t let people into this country — and not just people who come here to settle, but we need a better visa system,” Clinton said.

It was the first time Clinton used the adjective “tough” to describe the vetting measures she thinks are needed for migrants being brought to the United States from war-torn Muslim nations.

What Clinton has “long been an advocate for” is a radical 65,000-refugee increase to the annual flow of migrants into the United States — an increase Republicans and security experts have warned would make acceptable vetting, let alone “tough vetting,” a logistical impossibility.

“It is utterly incomprehensible that Hillary Clinton’s stated goal is to admit 65,000 more refugees into the United States after James Comey, the Director of the FBI said that there is no way to vet these refugees and after John Brennan, the Director of the CIA has warned that ISIS would seek to embed their terrorists in refugee flows,” retired former INS officer Michael Cutler told LifeZette Monday.

“Clinton should understand that committing suicide is not an act of ‘compassion,'” Cutler said, “terrorists have, you could say, “weaponized compassion” by embedding terrorists among the refugee flows that Brennan warned about.”

The gap between reasonable safety measures and the Obama-Clinton drive to increase the flow of refugees from war-torn Muslim nations is an issue Republicans have repeatedly hammered in the 2016 contest.

“We know that Hillary Clinton and President Obama lie to the American people when they say they can safely screen the Syrian refugees,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said at the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland. “They cannot. And yet Hillary wants to increase the number by 500 percent.”

“She proposes this despite the fact that there’s no way to screen these refugees in order to find out who they are or where they come from,” Donald Trump said of Clinton’s call when he accepted the GOP nomination at the RNC back in July.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani noted ISIS has openly bragged about hiding terrorists among refugee populations and Clinton still wants a five-fold increase in the numbers brought to U.S. shores.

“So she wants to make the risks five times worse than it already is, and we already have 1,000 investigations, according to the director of the FBI, of terrorists here in the United States,” Giuliani said in an Aug. 21 interview on “Fox News Sunday. “She wants to add to the 1,000 investigations.”

Despite the clear evidence Muslim migrants from war-torn nations are behind a growing number of domestic terror attacks, Clinton downplayed the threat Monday as something that law enforcement can handle.

“This is the kind of challenge that law enforcement can be and is prepared to address — namely, going after anyone who would threaten the United States,” Clinton said.

Clinton’s proposed 550-percent increase over President Barack Obama’s current 2016 targets for refugee settlement are not only a security risk; experts have estimated the increase would cost U.S. taxpayers more than $400 billion.
