It’s not exactly clear what happened with Donald Trump’s failure to disavow Klansman David Duke on Sunday. What is clear is that he has done so — before and after. He said several times since that he disavows Duke after having done so two days before — and even as far back as August. All the way back in 2000, Trump refused to run as the Reform Party presidential candidate, in part because David Duke was part of it.

Duke is reprehensible, and the Ku Klux Klan is one of the ugliest stains on our nation’s history. But while we’re in the disavowal business here, it does occur to us that Hillary Clinton, too, has some disavowing to do.

Maybe these characters don’t reach the level of the Klan, but they’re pretty odious.
