“The Establishment has a little wake-up call coming,” said Sean Hannity, appearing on “The Laura Ingraham Show” Wednesday morning. “Many have no idea whats coming and just don’t understand whats going on,” he said.

Hannity, host of “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel, was one of the few figures in the media — even conservative media — who actually understood Trump’s appeal and defended his vision for the country. “There was a group of us, [a] core group of us that knew how important this election was for the country,” Hannity said. “One of the strongest supporters was you, Laura, calling out the media,” he told LifeZette Editor-in-Chief Laura Ingraham.

“The country has a fighting chance.”

Ingraham encapsulated Trump’s appeal perfectly during her address at this year’s Republican National Convention.”Hillary Clinton thinks America is just another nation in a global order, but Donald Trump knows that a nation without borders isn’t a nation at all,” she said.

Hannity explained that this was the fundamental issue at hand in the election. Trump’s victory is a reaction to the disastrous effects of globalization and mass migration. Establishment Republicans not only failed to understand this, but actively endorsed the globalist project. Now, “the old order of the Republican Party is gone,” Hannity said.

“I have a humbling appreciation for the American people after the voting,” said Hannity. “The table needed to be turned and system needed to be shocked,” he said.

“Trump and the people have a fighting chance … the country has a fighting chance.”
