In leaked exit polls on Tuesday, just before the first polls close in Indiana and Kentucky, there is good news for both candidates.

And bad news.

Trump is also getting 59 percent of white women without a college degree. Clinton is getting 34 percent of those voters.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is overperforming with white voters with no college degree.

A tweet by Steve Kornacki of MSNBC said the polls indicate Trump is getting  a remarkable 70 percent of white men without a college degree. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is only getting 23 percent.

Trump is also winning white voters with a college degree — but he is only winning by 1 percent. In 2012, Mitt Romney won those voters by 14 percent. It remains to be seen if his margins with blue-collar workers will help him make up for a shortfall in college-educated voters.

Clinton is winning the black vote, but she has not broken 90 percent. Kornacki’s tweets indicated black voters are breaking 87 percent for Clinton. Trump is getting 8 percent. In 2012, Obama got 93 percent to Romney’s 6 percent.

Perhaps the biggest surprise tweeted out by Kornacki is the Hispanic early exit polls. Trump is exactly where Romney was. Clinton is getting 65 percent of the Latino vote while Trump gets 27 percent.
