Donald Trump Jr. blasted NBC News on Monday for its apparent “bias” against President Donald Trump after the network’s Twitter account voiced its support for media personality Oprah Winfrey — “OUR future president” — during Sunday’s 75th Golden Globe Awards ceremony.

The NBC account fawned over Winfrey, who sparked rumors of a potential presidential bid, after she accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

Winfrey delivered a fiery speech in which she defended women and victims of sexual assault who suffered “in a culture broken by brutally powerful men,” noting, with power, that “a new day is on the horizon!”

The network was so enthralled with the speech it took to Twitter to make its presidential preferences known.

“Nothing but respect for OUR future president. #GoldenGlobes,” the network tweeted Sunday night with a GIF of Winfrey.

The president’s son did not take kindly to the tweet by the news organization.

“In case anyone had any doubts about where the media stands this should take care of it. The bias against @realDonaldTrump is now so obvious they have simply given up hiding it,” Trump Jr. tweeted on Monday morning. “Can you trust anything they say at this point? Americans see the truth in job #s & in their wallets!”

Others took to Twitter to call out NBC for its tweet as well.

“I have watched every episode of the Oprah show in history, I credit her with saving my life, there is no bigger fan … so I feel I have some moral authority when I say that this is a strange tweet for a broadcast network,” Huffington Post reporter Yashar Ali tweeted.

Former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer tweeted, “This tweet puts every reporter at NBC in a bad spot. Foolish thing for them to do. But at least now they are open about their bias.”

NBC News later apologized for its tweet in a statement Monday on Twitter.

“Yesterday a tweet about the Golden Globes and Oprah Winfrey was sent by a third-party agency for NBC Entertainment in real time during the broadcast. It is in reference to a joke made during the monologue and not meant to be a political statement. We have since removed the tweet,” NBC said.

The president has long railed against networks such as CNN and NBC and such outlets as The New York Times and The Washington Post for their “bias” against him and their anti-Trump coverage. And after Trump won the 2016 presidential election, many devastated liberals took to the streets bearing signs saying, “Not My President.”

The Golden Globes ceremony took place the same week that Trump plans to hold his own “Fake News Awards” event.

“The Fake News Awards, those going to the most corrupt & biased of the Mainstream Media, will be presented to the losers on Wednesday, January 17th, rather than this coming Monday,” Trump tweeted Sunday. “The interest in, and importance of, these awards is far greater than anyone could have anticipated!”
