An article detailing the list of likely candidates for chief of staff in a potential Clinton White House, published by Politico Thursday, included a rather surprising choice — Neera Tanden.

“Another loyal Clinton soldier, Neera Tanden, is also talked about as someone who rounds out the top-tier list, although she is considered a less likely choice than the top three candidates,” the article states.

“Kasich appeals to you, me, and reporters. But I don’t think he appeals to the Republican Party. He appeals to like the 10 moderates there.”

“Tanden, currently president and CEO of the progressive think tank Center for American Progress, has emerged in [John] Podesta’s hacked emails as one of his closest confidantes and someone willing to deliver her honest assessment of Clinton’s flaws and blind spots,” the article continues. This is the understatement of the year.

In truth, Tanden’s leaked email conversations read almost like discarded lines from a sitcom screenplay, and her candid criticisms of Clinton and colleagues — not to mention her predilection for foul language — have become something of an internet sensation among those keeping close tabs on WikiLeaks releases.

So, to save our readers from the effort and tedium of spending hours sifting through John Podesta’s leaked emails, here are some of Tanden’s most spectacular statements.

Tanden on “The Letter” (presumably the letter from Clinton’s doctor touting her health): “Is great. F*** these a**holes.”

Tanden on Clinton’s use of a private email server: “Do we actually know who told Hillary she could use a private email? And has that person been drawn and quartered? Like whole thing is f***ing insane.”

On an August 2015 poll that showed Sanders leading Clinton in New Hampshire: “It’s kind of jolting.”

On Clinton’s inability to apologize sincerely: “Everyone wants her to apologize. And she should. Apologies are like her Achilles heel. But she didn’t seem like a b**** in the interview. And she said the word sorry. She will get to a full apology in a few interviws [sic].”

“I know this email thing isn’t on the level. I’m fully aware of that. But her inability to just do a national interview and communicate genuine feelings of remorse and regret is now, I fear, becoming a character problem (more so than honesty).”

On what Clinton could do to prepare for tough interviews: “I definitely recommend having her beat up a punching bag (or a staffer but that is unpleasant) before she goes on.”

On “this Bryan Pagliano situation”: “Seems suboptimal.”

On Hillary Clinton’s knack for politics: “God. Her instincts are suboptimal.”

“I mean it makes my life more difficult after telling every reporter I know she’s actually progressive but that is really the smallest of issues. It worries me more that she doesn’t seem to know what planet we are all living in at the moment.”

On Clinton’s low energy: “That excitement thing you were worried about does seem to be a problem. She does need to rev it up.”

On Faiz Shakir’s decision to join Team Bernie: “He’s a f***er.”

On ThinkProgress: “They are crazy leftists down there.”

On David Brock (she really, really doesn’t like Brock): “David Brock is like a menace.” “Maybe he actually is a Republican plant.” “I truly believe he’s an unhinged soulless narcissist.”

On John Kasich: “Kasich appeals to you, me, and reporters. But I don’t think he appeals to the Republican Party. He appeals to like the 10 moderates there.”

On Larry Lessig: “I f***ing hate that guy. Like I’d like to kick the sh** out of him on Twitter…but I know that is dumb.”

On Hillary’s scandalous history: “I have dealt w/ my fair share of Hillary scandals. I have had experience w/her going to a point where she is toying w/legal niceties to make sure every I is dotted, but actually secretly measuring if the velocity is moving up or down on the scandal. Have no idea if that’s happening here.”
