You can imagine how frantic the family of a missing elderly woman had been for a big part of the day today.

Fortunately, in late-breaking developments, as of 9:35 p.m. the missing woman has now been reunited with her family.

The police in Overland Park, Kansas, had issued a Silver Alert on Thursday and were “asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 86-year-old woman,” as Fox4k.com reported.

A woman named Joanne Wilson had last been seen by her family at about 11 a.m. on Thursday — that’s when she left her home on West 89th Terrace and drove to a Hy-Vee, authorities said.

Due to apparent medical issues, her family had been “concerned for her welfare.”

“Wilson might be wearing a yellow shirt, white pants and a white jacket, and she should be driving a white 2014 Honda Civic with the Kansas license plate: TAP-456,” the local Fox affiliate reported.

Due to apparent medical issues, her family had been “concerned for her welfare.”

People had been advised to call the Overland Park Police Department with any information.
