A Hillary Clinton fundraiser and Democratic lobbyist resigned abruptly from her role as a commissioner with the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey this week after a police dashcam video — which has gone viral — showed her unleashing a verbal tirade on two New Jersey cops after a routine traffic stop.

With over 1,700,000 views as of Friday morning, the YouTube video shows Caren Turner, a New Jersey resident, arriving in her own vehicle just as police are wrapping up ticketing the driver of the other car for several violations, including operating an unregistered vehicle.

Turner’s adult daughter was one of the passengers.

In her profanity-laced tirade against the cops, Turner showed a hubris matched only by her deep disrespect for law enforcement.

“You may shut the f*** up!” Turner spewed during the March 31 incident, which occurred in Tenafly, New Jersey.

Equally egregious was her audacity at trying to pull rank on the officers. “No, don’t call me ‘miss,’ I’m ‘commissioner,’ thank you!” Turner snapped. “I’m the commissioner of the Port Authority, and I’m heading up over 4,000 police officers.”

“I’m also an attorney,” she added.

Additionally, Turner told police she was there “as a concerned citizen and friend of the mayor” who has “been in Tenafly for 25 years,” and that she planned on reporting the officers to Tenafly’s police commissioner.

It gets even better. Turner also said the passengers in the vehicle were grad students from Yale and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) — as if their elitist educational backgrounds should matter when laws are broken.

“Universities are obsessed with fighting phantom ‘white privilege.’ If they really want to take on privilege, they could direct their efforts at liberal elite privilege, which this former Port Authority commissioner and Clinton adviser illustrates to perfection,” Heather Mac Donald, author of “The War on Cops: How the New Attack on Law and Order Makes Everyone Less Safe,” told LifeZette by email.

Mac Donald, who is the Thomas W. Smith Fellow at the Manhattan Institute and a contributing editor at City Journal, also commented on Turner’s antipathy toward law enforcement in general.

“Her contempt for this heroically self-controlled police officer is part and parcel of the elite disdain for working-class America, and reflects as well the elite’s disparagement of the policing profession.”

Still, accolades for the two officers, who displayed great restraint despite Turner’s rage, are pouring in.

“I’m very proud of the officers,” Tenafly Police Chief Robert Chamberlain said, according to multiple reports. “Messages are coming in from as far away as Texas, Michigan, and South Carolina, praising them and wanting them to be commended.”

Twitter is also heaping loads of praise on the two officers — who were also gentlemen.

Added Mac Donald, “While it is gratifying that this officer is receiving support for his professionalism, we should not forget that every day thousands of officers keep their cool in even more trying conditions.”
