We Americans love animals — of all kinds.

No matter where they are, what they are — doesn’t matter. Tame, wild — we usually love ’em.

And now the world is learning that emperor penguins — at least these two good-looking critters at a rookery in Mawson Station, Antarctica — love selfie videos, too.

This pair was certainly ready for their closeup when they spotted a camera on the ice. As the Australian Antarctic Division shared with the world, “Australian Antarctic expeditioner Eddie Gault left the camera on the ice when visiting the rookery, and it didn’t take long for the naturally curious birds to seize the opportunity for a selfie.”

Check out this adorable bird video. You’ll never think of selfie videos the same way again (credit: Australian Antarctic Division via Storyful).
