Two Boston, Massachusetts, police officers discuss the upcoming Fourth of July holiday before embarking on a stirring rendition of “God Bless America,” in a video posted to Facebook on Tuesday.

“She was actually operating the cruiser the entire time,” Stephen McNulty said of his partner, Kim Tavares, local news station WHDH reported. He added, “Ten and 2, seat belt on. She was not distracted. She was multitasking.”

The video, posted by the Boston Police Department and shared over 2,200 times, is a spoof of “Carpool Karaoke,” a segment on the “Late Late Show with James Corden,” in which musical guests join Corden in his car to sing and joyride.

The two partners call it, “Cop Pool Karaoke.”

Many on Facebook cheered the patriotic video, with one commenter posting, “Thank you for your service. God be with you always. Love the song. God Bless America! Happy 4th!”

Tavares, a 17-year veteran of the department, says singing is a great tension reliever.

“With the stress that we have to go through on a day-to-day basis, you need something that levels that stress out,” she said. “Music — it just makes you happy.”
