With a little more than a month left before Election Day, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton were both set to attend campaign events on Thursday — but Hillary unexpectedly cancelled hers.

She was set to meet with fans at Chapel Hill, North Carolina — and some were shelling out $100,000 just to meet her. But she couldn’t be bothered.

Clinton unexpectedly cancelled her [Thursday] appearances.

Her campaign has worked hard to keep her health problems under wraps. Her public appearances lately have been strained — her voice is still raspy and tired and her energy low.

Trump, for his part, has encouraged her to get some rest before they face off on Monday, Sept. 26. And it looks as if Clinton is taking that advice to heart — though her campaign would never throw a bone the Republican’s way. The Hillary team says her cancellations are instead for debate prep — a debate expected to drawn a record number of viewers. Everyone will watch the candidates spar and parry as questions about her health remain.

This week, the standard currency of Mexico, the peso, dropped significantly in value and hit the threshold of 20 pesos per dollar. Economists have cited the ups and downs of the presidential election as key in this shift.

“Speculation broke out against the Mexican currency last week due to the poor health of the Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton,” wrote columnist Carlos Loret de Mola in El Universal. The United States is the largest source of foreign direct investment in Mexico — $107.8 billion, to be exact. So the potential fallout from Hillary Clinton’s pneumonia could mean bad news for our southern neighbor. And the peso has already dropped almost 17 percent in value in the last year.

In a recent poll, 69 percent of voters believe the candidates should release additional medical information. The Clinton campaign released a note from the nominee’s doctor last week, but it only essentially confirmed that the Democratic candidate, indeed, has pneumonia.

It did not contain any information from a neurologist on why she continues to fall and has trouble keeping her balance. Nor did it specify why she’s been having trouble with her vision lately, or why she’s had any of the other odd seizure-like incidents and episodes.
