Chick-fil-A is famous for going above and beyond for its customers.

A group of soldiers stationed in Iraq received some of this outstanding service after 1st Lt. Jessie Guajardo, originally from northern Texas, contacted the fast-food restaurant chain.

He reached out on Facebook to his local Chick-fil-A store back home and requested that some of its savory Chick-fil-A sauce be sent to his base in Iraq.

“Ordering bottles of sauce is mostly out of the question because of refrigeration after opening, etc…. It was then that we thought of Chick-fil-A individually packaged sauces. I took a shot in the dark and sent a Facebook message to the Chick-fil-A Facebook page with a request,” Guajardo wrote in a Facebook post about the kind gesture.

However, Chick-fil-A stepped up and made these soldiers’ wishes come true: It sent them two cases of sauce — one of barbecue and one of Chick-fil-A sauce — to give their standard Army chicken a taste of home.

“I can’t thank Chick-fil-A enough for this seemingly small gesture that single-handedly picked up the spirits of so many people,” Guajardo wrote. “Thank you, Chick-fil-A.”
