After his Saudi Arabia stop, President Donald Trump makes a very important trip to the nation of Israel this week. Here are the details we know as of right now.

Trump will visit Israel on Monday, May 22, and Tuesday, May 23, where he will be under high-security accommodation and details.

“I want the Israeli people to know that the United States stands with Israel in the struggle against terrorism.”

Trump will meet with Israeli leaders as well as make stops at the holiest of locations. As part of the trip, Trump will say a prayer at the Western Wall in Jerusalem — marking the first time a sitting U.S. president will visit the wall.

The Jewish people consider the Western Wall the most holy place for prayer.

“No Israeli leaders will join President Trump to the Western Wall,” National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster told reporters at a press briefing last Tuesday.

President Trump reportedly has not ruled out inviting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accompany him.

“We have not yet made a final decision about my visit to the Western Wall,” Trump told the Israel Hayom newspaper on May 18. “We have great respect for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and the decision to have the rabbi [of the Western Wall] accompany us was primarily because that is the custom at the site. It could still change.”

In February, Trump and Netanyahu held a joint press conference in Washington, D.C., at the White House.

“The partnership between our two countries, built on our shared values, has advanced the cause of human freedom, dignity and peace,” Trump said at that press conference. “Your perseverance in the face of hostility, your open democracy in the face of violence, and your success in the face of tall odds is truly inspirational.”

Netanyahu affirmed the positive relationship with the U.S. in February.

“I deeply value your friendship,” Netanyahu said at the press conference. “To me, to the state of Israel, it was so clearly evident in the words you just spoke — Israel has no better ally than the United States.”

Trump will also stop at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre — a holy place in the Christian world, as this is the site that commemorates where Jesus Christ was crucified and entombed.

“Trump will meet with Israel President Reuven Rivlin in Jerusalem and plans to lay a wreath at Yad Vashem, a Holocaust memorial,” Fox News reported on May 19. “Trump is also expected to give remarks at the Israeli Museum before later meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.”

The leaders will “discuss ways to advance a genuine and lasting peace between the Israelis and Palestinians,” White House press secretary Sean Spicer said in a statement earlier in May.

“He and Melania will also attend a private dinner with Netanyahu and the prime minister’s wife, Sara,” Fox News reported.

On May 23, Trump will travel to the Palestinian town Bethlehem in the West Bank.

“President Trump has also accepted the invitation of President Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority to meet with him to discuss ways to advance peace between the Israelis and Palestinians, as well as efforts to unlock the potential of the Palestinian economy,” Spicer said in a statement.
