Many of us have moments of doubt when it comes to Jesus’ plan for our lives.

In the dramatic “I Am Second” video series, celebrities, athletes, Christian leaders, and a number of others share their own pathways to finding and believing in God’s ideas for their lives. The not-for-profit organization and “multimedia movement” known as I Am Second explains that these people “tell stories of life transformation that happen by putting God first and living second.”

Actor Remi Adeleke, who was born in Nigeria and moved to this country when he was five, grew up in the Bronx, New York, with a single mother. He sat down with the organization to talk about how he ultimately trusted in God’s plan for his life.

“With no father in the picture, Remi Adeleke tried to find a father in the things around him: music, culture and peers,” as the video described this actor’s journey. “He tried it all, then found his way out by joining the military. But even becoming a Navy SEAL wasn’t enough. After spending 13 years in the military, [he] felt led to leave, but upon leaving he and his family struggled financially. In his time of struggle, Remi began to do something he hadn’t done in years — question God’s plan. Then came a call from an unexpected place. Could a Hollywood film adviser have the answer he was searching for?”
