There really isn’t anything sweeter than a small child singing — except maybe praying.

Lydia Majette of Philadelphia shared a video on her Facebook page that is now going viral. Her young grandson, strapped into his car seat, sang along to the gospel song “I’m Blessed” as she played it in the car — and she caught it all on video.

“This is my praise partner. I thank God every minute of every day this boy brings me great joy.”

Her Facebook post read: “This is my praise partner. I thank God every minute of every day this boy brings me great joy.”

She also wrote, “I have 4 grandsons; this is number 3. I am blessed — better than blessed. I know I’m not alone. I’m just saying.”

Then she added a string of smiling emojis.

The post and video have struck people all over the world — the video currently has 7.3 million views on Facebook. While the beauty found in the innocence of a child is inspiring, another powerful aspect of this story is the passing down of faith through the generations.

The inspiration when it comes to the practice of faith is one of the most compelling gifts we can give our family members. Faith and belief are most often learned at home and through the family — so leading by example is crucial.
