There is nothing sweeter than a young person who is filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.

That’s exactly what was demonstrated at six-year-old Jordan Warrick’s baptism in Louisville, Kentucky, recently. The young man was so excited to be baptized he couldn’t wait one more minute — and while his pastor was still speaking, the boy dove into the water headfirst.

The video was shared on Facebook this past Sunday by his father, Terence D. Warrick. The caption read: “My son gave his life to Jesus today.”

He commented later on the video, admitting, “I cried” at his son’s zeal for the Lord.

The sweet reaction to baptism is a wonderful reminder of just how powerful God’s love is for his people, and that we should all run to him — in some form or another — with the same excitement as shown by this child.

Even as the pastor was baptizing Jordan Warrick, he told the congregation the boy had “been waiting on this day a long time.”
