Alongside the heated debate surrounding Roe v. Wade, the topic of what makes a woman a woman has also caused a divide thanks to the tansgender ideology that a man can transition into a woman or a woman into a man. The discussion has grown to such a high pitch that now icons like J.K. Rowling have been attacked online for doing nothing more than being proud of being a woman. Appearing to stand beside Rowling, Anne Robinson, a British TV host best know for “The Weakest Link” recently criticized the transgender movement by suggesting it was an instrument designed to erase biological women from history.
Speaking with the Telegraph, the 77-year-old admitted, “A woman is someone with a vagina. I am just horrified that we can’t have a debate about this. That’s what really troubles me. I’m horrified by the lack of safety in women’s changing rooms, in swimming pools, and that sort of thing. I think the most interesting statistic is that the amount of trans [people] who actually surgically get altered is minuscule. So you are talking about men in women’s changing rooms.”
Robison went on to explain that a child believing they might have been born in the wrong body could just be a phase. She also attacked overly-woke parents for pushing such ideology of their children. “How do you know that’s what it is? That’s what your child is telling you it is. It’s that phrase: ‘Will that be what you want when you grow up?’ That’s what I should have said to myself when I accepted Countdown.””
Given her stance on the matter, Robison added that her career as a presenter might be over. “If you ever get me to do a job, there will be half the audience saying: ‘Oh, no; not her, Because you can’t be as opinionated and pleased with yourself as I am and not have people – particularly women – saying: ‘God, she really gets up my nose.'”
It should be noted that comedian Dave Chappelle has also drawn a staggering amount of backlash from his stance on what defines a woman.
