Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) is calling on Congress to take action that, according to her, is long overdue: issuing a subpoena to billionaire financier George Soros.
In a direct post on X, Luna posed the question, “Why has Congress never subpoenaed George Soros before?” and added, “Why am I the first one to bring this up? This should have been done a long time ago.”
Honest question: Why has Congress never subpoenaed George Soros before? Why am I the first one to bring this up? This should have been done a long time ago.

The post comes amid increasing scrutiny of Soros’s financial and political influence, both domestically and internationally.
Soros, founder of the Open Society Foundations, has spent billions funding non-governmental organizations, activist movements, and political causes around the world.
In the United States, he is known for backing progressive prosecutors, promoting open-border immigration policies, and supporting far-left political candidates.

The question from Luna follows news that Republicans on the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, including Chairman James Comer (R-KY) and Rep. Nick Langworthy (R-NY), have launched an investigation into Soros’s attempted acquisition of more than 220 radio stations.
The deal involves the Audacy radio network, which reaches an estimated 165 million Americans.
The Committee is investigating whether the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) took any steps to fast-track the approval process for the acquisition in a way that may have benefited Soros.
The FCC has agreed to provide relevant documentation to the committee, and a vote by the full commission is reportedly underway.
Luna’s comments on X appear to have resonated with many users, including independent researcher @MJTruthUltra, who replied: “If George Soros is such a threat to America, why can’t the US government strip him of citizenship, exile him, or at the very least… banish his organizations from the US?”
The response pointed to other countries, including Russia, Turkey, Pakistan, and Hungary—Soros’s country of birth—where his Open Society Foundations have been banned or restricted.
The user also suggested the United States could explore financial sanctions under authorities such as the Global Magnitsky Act or Executive Order 13818, both of which allow the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to freeze assets and prohibit transactions for individuals deemed to be national security threats or engaged in human rights abuses.
FULL STOP… This is exactly what I don’t understand.

Soros has long drawn criticism from Republican lawmakers and conservative organizations for his expansive funding of left-leaning initiatives.
His financial support has played a central role in the elections of district attorneys in major cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia.
Many of those district attorneys have faced criticism for enacting lenient prosecution policies, which opponents argue have contributed to rising crime.
Despite this influence, Soros has not been subpoenaed by Congress, and no formal investigation has ever been conducted into the full scope of his domestic political activity.

The House Oversight Committee’s current probe into the FCC process marks the first instance in which his media-related ventures have come under official review.
The growing push from Luna and others for further accountability measures is expected to remain a topic of discussion as the FCC completes its review of the Audacy deal and the Oversight Committee continues its inquiry.
As of Thursday, George Soros and the Open Society Foundations have not responded to Luna’s comments or to the ongoing investigation by the House Oversight Committee.

“220 radio stations” That’s almost as many as NPR has in every college town.
Why not make Soros pay for his millions of crimes?? Because the prosecutors and politicians are being BOUGHT – big-time. Nothing else!!!
The real reason Soros has skated by without scrutiny is that he has probably half or more of Congress in his back pocket. Someone should publish a list of who in Congress have received ‘donations’ from Soros and his organizations.
