A man who had his prison sentence slashed by Joe Biden is once again facing serious criminal charges, proving once more that the left’s obsession with leniency only fuels crime.

As Fox News reported, Willie Frank Peterson, 52, was originally convicted for conspiring to distribute cocaine and sentenced to over six years behind bars in 2023.

But thanks to Biden’s last-minute clemency spree, Peterson’s sentence was cut to just 20 months, setting him loose on the streets well before serving his full time.

And what did he do with this so-called “second chance?” He got himself arrested again, this time on multiple drug and firearms charges.

Authorities in Dothan, Alabama, booked Peterson on Monday, hitting him with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, one count of marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia charges, and three firearms-related offenses.

Looks like Biden’s soft-on-crime approach once again backfired—on law-abiding citizens.

This isn’t an isolated case. Biden went on a clemency spree during the final days of his presidency, patting himself on the back for what he called the “largest single-day grant of clemency” on December 12.

He commuted the sentences of 1,500 criminals and issued 39 pardons. But that wasn’t enough.

Just days before his presidency came to an end, on January 17, Biden handed out commutations to nearly 2,500 inmates, many convicted of so-called “non-violent” drug offenses.

His reasoning?

“Today’s clemency action provides relief for individuals who received lengthy sentences based on discredited distinctions between crack and powder cocaine, as well as outdated sentencing enhancements for drug crimes.”

In other words, he was more concerned about coddling felons than ensuring they faced consequences for their actions.

Biden’s actions speak louder than his scripted words. He brags about issuing more pardons and commutations than any president in history, but where does that leave the communities impacted by crime?

Innocent Americans are left to deal with the fallout while criminals like Peterson get a get-out-of-jail-free card.

The Biden administration’s reckless clemency spree is yet another example of Democrats prioritizing criminals over public safety. The left’s obsession with “criminal justice reform” is just a euphemism for letting offenders roam free with little accountability.

As Peterson’s case proves, the consequences of these reckless policies are predictable and devastating.

Law-abiding Americans deserve better than a president who treats criminals like victims while turning his back on those who actually play by the rules.

Unfortunately, Biden’s legacy will be one of failed policies, rampant crime, and streets that are less safe because of his disastrous decisions.
