Emhoff, 25, was seen visibly upset at Howard University on Wednesday as she watched Harris deliver her concession speech.

The day following the event, Emhoff shared an image on her Instagram story showing herself in tears, captioned, “Truly no words. We are all going to get through this. It just f–king hurts like a bitch right now and that’s ok.”

Emhoff, who has over 500,000 followers, encouraged her audience to “check in on your people” and added, “I’m here for all of you and I love you guys.”

On Friday, Emhoff took to her Substack series, Soft Pins, where she continued to reflect on the emotional toll of the election outcome.

Posting images of crafts from Pinterest, she wrote, “Ooof…What. A. Week. I feel like we all need this extra this week.”

She shared her personal coping strategies, explaining, “I know I’ve gone through about 10 cycles of sadness, rage, and stress – and that was just this morning.”

Acknowledging the emotions many may be experiencing, Emhoff added, “I think it’s important to feel them all so they don’t fester inside. One way I always make myself feel better is by harnessing that anger and sadness into creativity.”

Emhoff had been a vocal supporter of her stepmother’s campaign, promoting Harris’ bid for the presidency on her social media platforms since July.

Her support focused heavily on Harris’ efforts, with limited mention of Joe Biden.

In addition to campaign promotion, Emhoff voiced her opinions on issues in the Middle East earlier this year.

In March, Emhoff publicly called for donations to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees, a program that had its funding cut by the Biden-Harris administration over alleged ties to Hamas following the October 7 attack on Israel.

Emhoff posted statements encouraging donations to “urgent relief for Gaza’s children,” which critics argued could indirectly support terrorist activities in the region.

Emhoff has also shared her stance on her Jewish heritage, clarifying in public statements that she does not identify with the faith despite her father, Doug Emhoff, being Jewish.

The recent presidential election loss and her public reactions highlight Emhoff’s continued engagement in political discourse and social issues, amplifying her influence as a figure connected to Harris and the former administration.
