The segment highlighted their skepticism about the lack of substantive updates and questioned the agency’s credibility in light of its past actions.

During the broadcast, Watters questioned the effectiveness of the FBI’s recent press briefing, where new photographs of the suspect’s possessions were shared. “Tell me about this FBI announcement today they came out, they did a big dog and pony show, gave us some photos of the gun, the backpack and the air conditioning unit. Did you really learn that much from what was announced today?” Watters asked, implying the superficial nature of the update.

Responding to Watters, Rep. Crane voiced his doubts about the information presented by the FBI and the agency’s integrity. “No, Jesse, we didn’t learn that much today. And I’m honestly not surprised. But here’s the deal. The big issue the FBI has, and you just talked about it in your opening, is whether or not the American people whether or not we trust what they actually say. This is the same organization that went after Catholics wouldn’t investigate the Hunter Biden laptop went after parents at school board meetings, and also couldn’t find the January 6 pipe bomber, Jesse, and I’m going to be honest with you, I don’t believe their narrative about the January 6 pipe bomber for a second,” Crane stated.

Crane also mentioned that conservative commentator Dan Bongino had provided some lawmakers with insights that suggest the investigation could lead to a significant scandal.

“And Dan Bongino told myself and several other members of Congress just this week in Washington, DC, that when this story breaks about the January 6 pipe bomber, what really happened? It’s going to be the biggest scandal in Washington, DC history.” – Eli Crane

The skepticism shared by Watters and Crane reflects a growing distrust among certain segments of the public and lawmakers towards the FBI, exacerbated by the agency’s handling of various high-profile cases.

The criticism from conservative figures like Watters and Crane underscores the controversy surrounding the FBI’s methods and transparency, especially in politically sensitive investigations.

As the conversation about these FBI investigations continues, the remarks by Watters and Crane highlight the political and public scrutiny that the FBI face in their conduct of these significant inquiries.

This segment on Fox News not only questioned the recent FBI announcement but also hinted at deeper issues within the organization that might affect its future credibility and operations.
