Breitbart quoted Trump in this extract,

“I like him,” Trump said of McCarthy, before teeing off on those working against him such as Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Matt Rosendale (R-MT), Bob Good (R-VA), and Ralph Norman (R-SC). While Trump did not name those trying to stop McCarthy from taking the Speaker’s gavel on January 3, he in no uncertain terms said he disagrees with their efforts—and warned that there could be serious consequences if McCarthy does not get the gavel and they could make Washington worse for conservatives.”

Breitbart

Trump’s endorsement of McCarthy leaves me slack-jawed.

I have no explanation for Trump’s endorsement of McCarthy outside of some wild, implausible and elaborate plan that somehow McCarthy is going to come through this time after sinking Trump’s ship in the Sea of Treason last time. That and he’s the least malodorous turd in the punch bowl, as Trump and others proclaim.

Why would Trump do this? Why is he acquiescing to and endorsing the swamp? Who pets the same dog twice after getting bitten the first time, much less the same gator?

This decision is an enormous mistake on Trump’s part, and it’s emblematic of his failure to “drain the swamp” over the course of four years that is now going on eight; rather letting the swamp rid itself of him. I hope that statement is in error, but I’m afraid it is not.

Trump’s decision rests on the justification of possible worse outcomes if McCarthy is not elected Speaker. Like what? A full-on coup d’etat that stands to hand the nation over to Bolshevism and Marsixt communism because that’s already happened.

Consider these quotes extracted from a must-read piece at Conservative Treehouse,

“I think it’s a very dangerous game that’s being played,” Trump said. “It’s a very dangerous game. Some bad things could happen. Look, we had Boehner and he was a strange person but we ended up with Paul Ryan who was ten times worse. Paul Ryan was an incompetent speaker. I think he goes down as the worst speaker in history. We took [out] Boehner—and a group of people, some of whom are the same, and they’re very good friends of mine. All those people are very good friends of mine.”

[…]

“Now, I’m friendly with a lot of those people who are against Kevin. I think almost every one of them are very much inclined toward Trump, and me toward them. But I have to tell them, and I have told them, you’re playing a very dangerous game,” Trump said. “You could end up with the worse situation. I don’t even want to say what it is, but I could tell you it’s a worse situation. You could end up with some very bad situations. I use the Boehner to Paul Ryan example. You understand what I’m saying? It could be a doomsday scenario. It could be. You could end up with somebody who would be a disaster like Paul Ryan was.”

Conservative Treehouse quoting President Trump

This is utterly swampy. It’s acquiescence to the same forces and dynamics that stole Trump’s second term while wrecking his first. Americans’ elected representatives ought not be voting out of fear of the reprisals of said vote but rather voting for something positive; a ray of light and a glimpse of hope emblematic of righting the ship and getting this country back on a proper course. But then again, swampy politics bears down with full might, as you will see.

Moreover, how is Paul Ryan worse than Nancy Pelosi? How can Trump fathom saying that unless he is speaking only of Republican Speakers, but he didn’t draw that distinction rather, he said, “I think he goes down as the worst speaker in history?”

Is it remarks like that combined with his failing to stand his ground on the back end of a stolen 2020 made worse by stunts like conflating the NFT Trump trading cards announcement with his actual “major announcement,” which you can listen to here:

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: President Trump has announced his 2024 free speech platform (https://t.me/real_DonaldJTrump/15419):

  • BAN the gov from policing lawful speech
  • FIRE any bureaucrat who has directly or indirectly engaged in censorship
-BAR federal funds for universities that censor speech

People are done with antics. They are done with the games. They are done with promises not kept. They are done with the kabuki theater. They want action; decisive action, and they want their country back.

Or, at least, the intelligent and independent, and critical thinking types are.

There may be big-time establishment money behind Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to cloud his candidacy for 2024, but one thing you can say about DeSantis is that he’s not antics, he’s not promises not kept, and he’s not kabuki theater. Rather he’s decisive action that appears positioned to begin getting the country back.

For four years, we heard Trump promise to “drain the swamp” in ways to include the “enemy of the American people,” the MSM, and nearly eight years down the road, the swamp is as forceful as ever, and the MSM is as effective at the dissemination of propaganda as ever.

As I shared with one of the fine souls at Marco Polo last night and revisiting some of the topics above [paraphrased and polished for this article]:

I know staunch Trump supporters who have wide swaths of friends leaving him for DeSantis. It’s tough to “unring” a bell. It’s tough to get those people back. Trump failed to “drain the swamp” and rectify the “enemy of the American people” – the MSM – and they all got rid of him. He had 4 years to do it. Now we’re going on 8. I’m telling you, people are leaving his corner and it’s a bad thing. Waiting around for eight years for promises not kept to be kept is a horrible strategy and plan. Rubber needs to hit the road and soon. We’ve been waiting since 2016.

The endorsement of McCarthy leaves me slack-jawed, and I haven’t been shy about my thoughts on McCarthy and how any tenure as Speaker will equate to business as usual in D.C. I actually branded him “Nancy Pelosi Lite.”

For one, McCarthy is enveloped in the massive FTX/Ukraine money laundering scandal as having received laundered U.S. taxpayer funds through the House Super PAC that were used in campaigns for candidates opposed to Trump-endorsed candidates.

Moreover and more problematic, positioning McCarthy as House Speaker situates him to potentially work in cover-up and clean-up operations of the FTX/Ukraine scandal.

For another, McCarthy stated that Trump bore the responsibility of the Capitol “insurrection” entrapment operation as a clear indicator that he’s an evidenced functionary within that criminal scheme. McCarthy’s leaked comments even rose to the level of calling for Trump’s resignation.

Others see it differently, but I disagree given that unless Trump were to win 2024, he’s nothing more than a private citizen likely facing criminal charges over January 6th; and whereas they stole his last election, they can steal the next one leaving McCarthy holding all of the cards,

People close to Trump, however, say the former president also sees the controversy as increasing his leverage over the would-be House speaker. He will extract something from it, I’m sure of that. He will hold it over McCarthy.

Jonathan Martin (@Jonathan Martin)

As to the spine of the January 6th matter, McCarthy also confirms that the patently stolen 2020 election wasn’t stolen at all,

I don’t think anybody is questioning the legitimacy of the presidential election.” I think that is all over with sitting here with the President today.”

Kevin McCarthy

At best, McCarthy is merely a politician who says whatever he needs to say at any given moment so as to benefit himself and assume the necessary political posture. At worst and as I contend, he’s a significant part of the problematic U.S. politburo that has engaged in treason by removing a sitting U.S. president, and his documented and evidenced remarks are indicative of that.

Daniel Horowitz at Conservative Review agrees with me,

President Trump could be a game-changing voice in the Speaker fight but instead his loyalty is only toward the RINOs and his major announcement was useless Trump superhero trading cards.

Daniel Horowitz

Or maybe Sundance has it right in his assessment at CTH,

Kevin McCarthy might suck, but at least he sucks in a controlled environment.

I’m not a fan of Kevin McCarthy, few would dislike him more than I; however, in the final analysis who else has put their name in the hat and is going to -or could- get the entire Republican caucus on their side?

The GOP only has a five-vote House margin.

It takes a simple majority to confirm the House Speaker.

What other method, candidate, representative or alternative position is there to take?

Like I said – it’s utterly swampy.

When the remedy is electing a Trump-endorsed and controllable gator as Speaker of the Swamp, it means that the illusion of change that I’ve been projecting over and over is once again entirely on the mark.

Voting is an illusion, just like freedom and liberty are in the present. Thinking that McCarthy is going to work in such a way to undo the politburo and expose its criminality is a bad bet because it would require him to undo himself, and he won’t do that just like Bill Barr didn’t. Just follow the FTX money. McCarthy is one of them.

Here’s your analog. Just like former two-time Attorney General William Barr wasn’t stupid enough to appoint a special counsel in John Durham that would undo himself, Kevin McCarthy is not stupid enough to leverage the full power of the House to undo himself, either. Ask John Durham. Ask Kevin Clinesmith. Ask Michael Sussmann. Ask Igor Danchenko. More importantly, ask Sam Bankman-Fried from his rat and maggot-infested prison cell in the Bahamas.

Kevin McCarthy is Nancy Pelosi Lite, and that takes Moonshine’s position from a triple-down to a quadruple-down.

I triple-dog dare you to prove me wrong.
