Although the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is over 80 years old, apparently, she still has some fight left in her as she once threatened to punch former President Donald Trump. It’s not breaking news that the Democrats don’t think too highly of the man Joe Biden labeled MAGA King. Over the last six years, the Democrats have done everything in their power to tarnish his legacy and make sure his time in D.C. is over. Among the numerous accusations hurled at him, the Democrats suggested that the January 6th riot was orchestrated by Trump. Leading to a committee and an investigation, on Friday, Trump decided to unleash his thoughts on the matter in a 14-page letter addressed to the January 6th Committee.

Titled “PEACEFULLY AND PATRIOTICALLY”, the letter, again written by Donald Trump, criticized the committee for its failure to investigate the 2020 election in general. The committee seems to only care about the riot and tying Trump to the events that unfolded on that day. But the former President didn’t just focus on the 2020 election as he detailed how he called for National Guard troops to be in the area.

Donald Trump wrote that he recommended, “thousands of troops to be deployed to ensure that there was peace, safety, and security at the Capitol and throughout Washington, D.C. on January 6th because I knew, just based on instinct and what I was hearing, that the crowd coming to listen to my speech, and various others, would be a very big one, far bigger than anyone thought possible.” Trump added, “The massive size of this crowd, and its meaning, has never been a subject of your Committee, nor has it been discussed by the Fake News Media that absolutely refuses to acknowledge, in any way, shape or form, the magnitude of what was taking place. In fact, for such a historic event, there are very few pictures that accurately show the event, or how many people were really there.”

Projecting the blame back on Nancy Pelosi and Muriel Bowser, Donald Trump asked, “Why the failure to act or use this ready force? Had even a small percentage of National Guard or fencing been there, there would have been no problem, January 6th would have been just another date. I did my job long ahead of schedule. Some people call it good instinct, but the troops were ready to go. Nancy Pelosi and Muriel Bowser didn’t do their job, they didn’t like the look of soldiers, and sadly your Committee refuses to say anything about it, because if they did, it would be clear that I did everything correctly, and that is not what the Committee wants to see…The troops were ready to go, and you refuse to even discuss this subject. Why?”

As mentioned above, during the January 6th riot, footage showed Nancy Pelosi threatening Trump, warning, “I hope [Trump] comes. I’m gonna punch him out! This is my moment. I’ve been waiting for this—for trespassing on the Capitol grounds. I’m gonna punch him out and I’m gonna go to jail and I’m gonna be happy.”
