In 2016, Donald Trump made history before he even set foot in the Oval Office. The polls, experts, and Democrats believed there was no way Hillary Clinton would lose. They prepared to make history themselves with the first female president. But things turned out differently as Trump took control of the White House. With it no way being their fault, people like Christopher Steele and Igor Danchenko helped the Democrats create a fantastical narrative that involved Trump working alongside the Russian government to sway the election in his favor. Although it has been six years since Trump won, those accusations continue today. And on Tuesday, Igor Danchenko, a key part of the Trump/Russia hoax, was acquitted on all charges.

Lying to both the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation is considered a crime, but when Igor Danchenko did it, it was not even a slap on the wrist. Senior Digital Strategist for Strategies LLC, Greg Price, tweeted “My favorite thing about Igor Danchenko is that he was investigated by the FBI as a Russian agent and later was on their payroll as an informant as they were using the false claims he made to Christopher Steele about Trump/Russia to investigate and spy on President Trump.”

As mentioned above, it has been six years since the accusations were made, and throughout that whole time, reporter Paul Sperry has covered every major event in the story. He recently spoke with General Michael Flynn about the decision to let Danchenko go without any sort of punishment. Flynn said, “The whole episode makes the DOJ and FBI look wholly corrupt or wholly incompetent, or a combination of the above, neither of which is good for the country and neither instills any confidence in the rule of law for the average citizen. It’s disgraceful, and clear evidence exists that treason or certainly fraud occurred by the Clinton campaign and by the leadership inside both organizations. Durham should be ashamed. Whatever his reputation as a thorough prosecutor was is now gone.”

General Flynn wasn’t the only upset about the decisions, as online users wrote:

  • “Everything about the courts is corrupt, that includes the judges, DAs, and private lawyers. The problem with the courts is they police themselves, and until the people have the final say, this will continue.”
  • “Next up, the Hunter Biden, Tax Evasion & Firearms Charges will be tried and dismissed or pardoned by Biden. See how that works; round & round we go. I am tired of their BS and elitist cabal.”
  • “I think it’s more proof that anybody who attempted to take down Trump with lies is now a protected species, for now. You are witnessing the good die in America at the hands of a horribly corrupt democratic regime.”
