Once a place of soft sand, beautiful beaches, and a constant breeze, residents of California have watched as the state turned into a wasteland of violence and crime. Thanks to the ongoing leadership of Governor Gavin Newsom, citizens who once called California home are vacating the state in record numbers. With crime surging, the news has been flooded with stories of murder, robbery, and acts of pure evil. On Wednesday, Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke announced that a family of four had been found on a farm. Among the bodies was an 8-month-old girl.

Since Monday, police in California have worked tirelessly trying to locate the missing family which included Jasleen Kaur, 27, Jasdeep Singh, 36, Amandeep Singh, 39, and the baby girl, Aroohi Dheri. They were last seen at their business in the city of Merced. The extended family first reported them missing after Amandeep’s truck was found on fire. When the family could not be reached, police started to search.

Speaking with the press, Sheriff Vern Warnke showed some surveillance footage of an individual wearing a surgical mask, escorting the family out of the business. The two male family members were detained using zip ties. The Sheriff explained, “There’s no words right now to describe the anger I feel and the senselessness of this incident. I said it earlier: There’s a special place in hell for this guy. I’m just livid inside because this was completely, totally senseless. We have a whole family wiped out and for what? We don’t know yet.”

A local farmer eventually found the bodies of the family members. He recalled how close they were to each other when he stumbled on them.

As for the suspect, the police identified him as Jesus Manuel Salgado, 48. While there have been no charges brought against him at this time, the police were adamant about building a case against him for the murders. It should be noted that the authorities are not only using the surveillance footage to accuse Salgado. Apparently, Salgado used the ATM card of one of the victims at a bank in Atwater. When police went to arrest him, he tried to kill himself.

While the police department admitted to speaking with Salgado about the killings, they refrained from releasing any more information on the investigation.

Enraged by the senseless violence seen around the country, online users wrote, “This is why everyone should conceal carry. Every state is a 2A state, all gun laws are unconstitutional. We are letting millions of criminals in through our southern border every year, millions. Time to declare war on them and take back our government. We need to overthrow those in power and make this country what it once was.”

Another added, “This is so very sad and becoming too commonplace in our society. Where is the outrage from the politicians? A rhetorical question, of course.”
