With just over eight weeks to go before Americans head to the voter box to cast their ballot in the 2022 midterm elections, it seems that more and more accusations are coming out against the Democrats. While the recent polls have tipped somewhat in the favor of the Democrats, the party and even the Biden administration have been campaigning around the country, hoping to gain some last-minute support. In Nevada, Republican Gubernatorial candidate, Sheriff Joe Lombardo, posted an ad online detailing some of the major scandals surrounding Governor Steve Sisolak, a Democrat.

Wanting to make sure that voters know exactly who the Democrat governor is, Clark County Sheriff Lombardo tweeted on Thursday, “Northshore Steve is the most corrupt governor in America. Nevada, we deserve better than Steve Sisolak’s corruption, cronyism, and scandals.” Just giving a sample of Sisolak’s supposed accomplishments, the video, which can be watched below, dives into the career of Sisolak and even his wife, Kathy.

According to 360 News Las Vegas, Sisolak’s wife, Kathy, received government contracts while her husband held office. In August of 2021, the news outlets reported a whistleblower gave them a copy of a “no bid contract between Southern Nevada Water District and Kathy Sisolak’s company Hoggs, Ong and Associates, Inc. Ong is Kathy Sisolak’s maiden name. The no bid contract which pays Sisolak $250,000 for financial consulting services was approved on July 15, 2021 by the Southern Nevada Water Authority Board which is made up almost entirely of Clark County Democrats. The contract disclosure attached below does not mention Ong is actually Mrs. Sisolak anywhere. Let’s be clear, money going to Kathy Sisolak is money going to Steve Sisolak.”

Not all that shocking, that wasn’t the only accusation made towards Governor Steve Sisolak. The ad continued by accusing his office of “fast-tracking Northshore, a company linked to a campaign donor, a company that billed taxpayers $165 million dollars for tests that didn’t work. Sisolak knew the tests didn’t work for months, but instead of alerting the public, he put Nevada lives in danger. Northshore Steve refused to alert Nevadans about the scandal until independent journalists finally made the sweet heart deal and the danger to the community public. The Sisolak administration and the Northshore company are now under federal investigation.”

Looking at a publication from ProPublica, the outlet reported that Northshore Clinical Laboratories, which supplied COVID-19 tests, operated “without proper licensing and yielded a high rate of negative COVID results for people who actually had the illness.” Not only were they allowed to conduct business within the state, but The Nevada Independent revealed that the tests missed 96 percent of positive COVID-19 cases. That data came from the University of Nevada. 

Sadly, users weren’t shocked, writing, “So what else is new among those democrats in power? Until they are dispensed with, they will do all they can to ensure they stay in power.”
