During a September 18th interview on “60 Minutes,” President Joe Biden delivered what could arguably be one of his most laughable challenges to his critics to date – telling those who are questioning his mental acuity to simply “watch” him as if by observing him, critics will immediately be dispelled of concerns about Biden’s mental state.

What Biden is failing to recognize is that much of the concerns pertaining to his mental fitness have stemmed via people watching him, thus challenging his critics to keep on watching him is not likely to move the needle towards a favorable opinion regarding his mental wellbeing.

A brief montage featuring a small sampling of his nonsensical rants and gaffes – accompanied by his “watch me” challenge to his critics – pretty much spells it out: something isn’t quite right with Biden these days and hasn’t been for some time.

As seen in the above-featured montage, Biden has fomented a notoriety for trailing off when speaking, uttering nonsensical words, and seeming to completely lose his train of thought when conversing with others or publicly speaking. Regardless of the prestige that comes with holding his current office, or the decades he has spent in D.C. politics, it doesn’t erase the fact that Biden is turning 80 years old this November – an age where cognitive decline is par for the course.

When it comes to the “60 Minutes” interview with Biden, he exemplified again just how out of touch he is with reality when asked about his abysmal approval ratings.

Scott Pelley asked Biden, “Your approval rating in the country is well below 50%, and I wonder why you think that is,” which Biden asserted in response that his approval ratings are so low because of COVID and people being incapable of being happy.

“This is a really difficult time. We’re in an inflection point in the history of this country. We’re gonna make decisions – and we’re making decisions now – that are gonna determine what we’re gonna look like in the next ten years from now.

I think you’d agree that the impact on the psyche of the American people as a consequence of the pandemic is profound. Think of how that has changed everything – you know, people’s attitudes about themselves, their families, about the state of the nation, about the state of their communities – and so there is a lot of uncertainty out there. A great deal of uncertainty.”

If Biden harbored an iota of cognizance with respect to why his approval numbers are below the 50% marker, he would’ve frankly admitted that inflation, high gas prices, negative sentiments lingering over the Afghanistan withdrawal, the border crisis, and his inflammatory rhetoric aimed at Republicans are among the biggest culprits behind his low approval ratings.
