With no help coming from either the Democrats or the Biden administration, states like Arizona and Texas have struggled when it comes to the Southern border. Although secure under former President Donald Trump, the border saw a drastic shift under Joe Biden and his pile of executive orders. While the Democrats remained silent on the matter, Texas Governor Greg Abbott decided to force them to help by sending thousands of migrants to states like New York and Washington, D.C. It didn’t take long for the Democrats to respond, and with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sending around 50 migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, it seems that the situation is now considered a humanitarian crisis. Still, the millions that have been met at the border are no big deal.

Sending two planes with around 50 migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis discussed the move in a press conference where he attacked liberals. “Their virtue signaling is a fraud. We are not a sanctuary state, and it’s better to be able to go to a sanctuary jurisdiction and, yes, we will help facilitate that transport for you to be able to go to greener pastures. Biden would fly people in the middle of the night, dumped them all across this country. There was no warning on any of this.”

The Governor added, “The minute even a small fraction of what those border towns deal with every day is brought to their front door, [Democrats] all of a sudden go berserk, and they’re so upset this is happening. It just shows you their virtue signaling is a fraud.”

As the Republican Governors continue to show the true motives behind the Democrats, Martha’s Vineyard gave an update on the migrant situation. And while they thanked community leaders and appeared to welcome the migrants, they tweeted the memo, captioning it with, “To our Island community, here is an update on current humanitarian crisis on Martha’s Vineyard… we thank people for their continued help.”

Calling the 50 migrants they are now caring for a “humanitarian crisis,” Martha’s Vineyard wrote in their statement, “We continue to provide shelter, food, and care to individuals that arrived on the Island yesterday. A coalition of Vineyard towns, community-based, and nonprofit groups are assisting in this effort. We will continue to work very closely with our state partners, who have pledged support and resources for any unmet needs that we may have. As we do with any shelter operation, we are focused on meeting the immediate needs of people we are sheltering and engaged in contingency planning if the situation changes. We are grateful to the many local and neighboring community members who have reached out with offers of support.”

While Martha’s Vineyard might sound welcoming to their new guests, the area hosts elites like former President Barack Obama. So, it should come as no surprise that on Friday, buses showed up, ready to take the migrants away. One Twitter user shared a video, which can be watched above, writing, “Buses have arrived in Edgartown to transport migrants from St. Andrew’s Parish House. There is one big bus and two shorter buses to transport folks off the Island. People with bags are taking selfies and hugging volunteers goodbye.”
