Although the polls predicted Republican Representative Liz Cheney losing during the primaries in Wyoming to candidate Harriet Hageman, it appeared even the polls were wrong. While the polls saw her losing, nobody guessed it would have been by 40 points. Showing just how much power is behind the GOP going into the 2022 Midterm elections, the latest election results are another sign of the massive wave of red heading to D.C. And while Cheney believes the loss wasn’t her fault, the victor of the night, Hageman, revealed the exact reason the RINO lost.

Speaking with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham after her victory, Harriet Hageman explained how Liz Cheney used all her strength and resources to attack former President Donald Trump instead of focusing on the state that voted for her – Wyoming. “I have not had an opportunity to even see or hear what she had to say because I’ve been kind of focused on what’s going on here. It doesn’t surprise me that she would revert to those same old talking points because that’s really in large part what got her defeated.”

As for Cheney’s obsession with Donald Trump, Harriet Hageman added,  “She’s not focusing on Wyoming. She’s not focusing on our issues. She’s still focusing on an obsession about President Trump. And the citizens of Wyoming, the voters of Wyoming, sent a very loud message tonight. We have spoken. And that is not what we are interested in in terms of our lone congressional representative.”

Harriet Hageman continued with her criticism of Liz Cheney, noting that the election had nothing to do with Cheney but finding a representative for the people, by the people. “That isn’t Liz Cheney, and the fact that that’s where she went back to with her speech tonight, I think, demonstrates that she really isn’t listening to Wyoming now, she hasn’t for quite some time, and that’s why we needed to replace her. “We need to have a representative in Wyoming who listens to us.”

On the other side of the election, Liz Cheney had an entirely different take as she didn’t blame the loss on herself or voters. Instead, she suggested that losing by 40 points happened due to her not going along with the Trump narrative that the 2020 Presidential election was stolen from him and the American people. “Two years ago, I won this primary with 73 percent of the votes. I could easily have done the same again, the path was clear, but it would have required that I go along with President Trump’s lie about the 2020 election.”

Former President Donald Trump thanked voters on Truth Social for helping Liz Cheney disappear into “oblivion where I am sure, she will be much happier than she is right now.”
