New York Mayor Eric Adams looks like a fool in his rhetorical match with Texas Governor Greg Abbott. Read it below.

Fox: “Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s campaign on Tuesday shot back at New York City Mayor Eric Adams after Hizzoner threatened to send busloads of New Yorkers to Texas to campaign against Abbott in the upcoming gubernatorial election in retaliation for Texas sending busloads of migrants to the Big Apple.

Adams’ comments marked the latest in a spat between the liberal cities of Washington, D.C., and New York City and the conservative border states of Arizona and Texas. The governors of the states have enraged the liberal mayors by sending thousands of migrants to their cities — which the mayors say have strained their social systems.”

“I already called all of my friends in Texas and told them how to cast their vote, and I am deeply contemplating taking a busload of New Yorkers to go to Texas and do some good old-fashioned door knocking because, for the good of America, we have to get him out of office,” Adams said Tuesday. Oh yeah, that will go over REAL BIG in Texas.

“It’s unimaginable coming to a country, your first visit here, someone is throwing you out as the governor of Texas is doing and then trying to navigate this complex country to deliver your services,” he said.

NYC’s Office of Immigrant Affairs Commissioner Manuel Castro also said, “You cannot take the words of Governor Abbott seriously. He’s demonstrated his moral character with these actions, and they’re disgusting. We do know that people are arriving with a great amount of needs because of the treatment they’ve received in the state of Texas. Again, this must be condemned. This must be looked into. And our federal government will… take steps to hold them accountable.”

“No one is blaming them, but we are condemning this Governor Abbott’s treatment,” he continued. “If he wanted to help, he would be bussing them to the actual locations that they need to… meet, to be transported to. But he’s not. He’s transporting people to Washington, D.C. and to New York City without any communication with us, with the intent of forcing as much harm as possible to our cities.”

The Abbott campaign shot back to great effect. “Because of high taxes, out of control crime, and poor leadership by the Mayor, people are volunteering to leave New York City without the Mayor asking,” campaign spokesperson Mark Miner told press. “It looks like Mayor Adams has taken on the additional role of political director for [Democratic candidate] Beto O’ Rourke.

“Washington D.C. finally understands what Texans have been dealing with every single day, as our communities are overrun and overwhelmed by thousands of illegal immigrants thanks to President Biden’s open border policies,” Abbott’s office said in a statement.

On Friday, he said that New York City “is the ideal destination for these migrants, who can receive the abundance of city services and housing that Mayor Eric Adams has boasted about within the sanctuary city.” Amusing.
