YUMA, AZ – Outgoing Arizona Republican Governor Doug Ducey, who is unable to run for reelection due to term limits within the state, has reportedly greenlit a makeshift border wall to be constructed along the Yuma/Mexico border, which said construction is projected to be completed before the end of August.

On August 12th, shipping containers that are reportedly topped with barbed wire were being put into place along the border in Yuma in order to close a 1,000-foot gap in the border wall.

Governor Ducey took to Twitter that same day to reference the endeavor, writing, “Arizona has had enough. We can’t wait any longer. The Biden administration’s lack of urgency on border security is a dereliction of duty. For the last two years, Arizona has made every attempt to work with Washington to address the crisis on our border.”

The Yuma sector portion of the border spans approximately 126 miles, with the area has seen nearly a 300% increase in encounters between Border Patrol and illegal aliens. Apparently, the percentage increase in encounters in the Yuma sector is the highest among all of the nine sectors between Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Texas.

This effort being accomplished via shipping containers is reportedly being done so without the blessing of Washington, where doing so upon federal land is typically required so as to avoid potential legal conundrums. The shipping containers, which stand about 9 feet, are being stacked in twos and are roughly 60-foot wide. Overall, the rudimentary border wall construction is going to cost approximately $6 million.

Ducey’s deputy chief of staff, Katie Ratlief, says that the effort is expected to be completed in a matter of days and that each shipping container section will be topped with four feet of barbed wire. Ratlief stated that while the Biden administration has made previous promises to address the southern border, they’re simply not following up quickly enough with their promises.

“The federal government has committed to doing this, but we cannot wait for their action.”

Governor Ducey expressed similar sentiments again on Twitter relating to having grown impatient with the current administration’s efforts along the southern border, writing, “Time and time again, we’ve stepped in to clean up their mess. Arizonans can’t wait any longer for the federal government to deliver on their delayed promises.”

Much like Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Governor Ducey has been sending migrants (who volunteer) on buses over to Washington, DC, since May in order to alleviate the pressures of illegal immigration imposed upon border communities in Arizona as well as to send a message to DC about the mess they’ve enabled along the southern border.

As of August 11th, approximately 1,425 migrants seeking asylum have been sent from Arizona to the nation’s capital.

So TRUMP wants the AMERICAN TAX PAYER to hand over 15 billion dollars for Mexico’s WALL that he lied and said Mexico was going to pay for?

Trump Spent $15 Billion On Border Wall they have built 18 miles of new, primary barrier or “border wall system”, as it is called by CBP.

Trump wall: How much has he actually built?
By Lucy Rodgers and Dominic Bailey BBC NewsPublished 31 October 2020
Before he took office, there were 654 miles (just over 1,000km) of barrier along the southern border – made up of 354 miles of barricades to stop pedestrians and 300 miles of anti-vehicle fencing.
Now, according to US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in its 6 October status report, the southern border has 669 miles of “primary barrier” – the first structure people heading from Mexico to the US will encounter – and 65 miles of “secondary barrier” – which usually runs behind the primary structure as a further obstacle.
This means that in areas where no barricades existed before, they have built 18 miles of new, primary barrier or “border wall system”, as it is called by CBP.
