Alec Baldwin Pushes New Excuse On Chris Cuomo’s New CCP Podcast After Forensic Report Released [VIDEO]

So he's claiming the people he's responsible for are responsible for killing the person he shot?

In October of 2021, Alec Baldwin stood on the set of his newest western film, “Rust,” when the gun he was holding fired, hitting director Joel Souza and killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Since the fatal shooting, Baldwin and his team of lawyers have been adamant that he did not pull the trigger, suggesting it must have malfunctioned. No matter the story, the FBI released a forensic report last week that concluded the gun, which was a Pietta .45 Colt revolver, could not have fired without the trigger being pulled. And due to it being in Baldwin’s hands, the actor is now speaking out once again that the important question is “who put a live round in the gun.”

Appearing on the podcast for Chris Cuomo called “The Chris Cuomo Project,” Alec Baldwin suggested that the gun firing could be due to a concept called “fanning a gun.” “In old Western movies, you would see someone fan the hammer of the gun.”

Again, with the FBI declaring the trigger had to be pulled, Baldwin moved to place the blame on the principal safety officer, although he was the producer of “Rust.” “The man who is the principal safety officer of the set of the film declared the gun was safe when he handed it to me. The man who was the principal safety officer of the film declared in front of the entire assemblage, ‘This is a cold gun.’ Now, why did he say that if he didn’t know and hadn’t checked? The point is we were told everything was cool and you can relax, and we are working with a gun that is safe to rehearse with.”

Continuing on his mission to clear his name, Alec Baldwin added, “What is likely is that someone who was responsible for one situation or one line of responsibility and the other person — a tandem of the two people — one of them or both were negligent.”

With an OSHA investigation released on top of the FBI investigation, attorney for Alec Baldwin explained it clears the actor as it concluded Rust Movie Productions’ management “knew that firearm safety procedures were not being followed on set and demonstrated plain indifference to employee safety by failing to review work practices and take corrective action.”

After spinning a web of theories and claiming that the blame should not be put on him although he was holding the gun, Alec Baldwin eventually spoke about the victim, Halyna Hutchins. Baldwin said that no matter his current situation, he is not the victim. “Nothing is going to bring this woman back. She’s dead. She has a little boy. This is the real tragedy. Everything we’ve said doesn’t matter – me, the press. My point is, the real tragedy is here is what happened to this woman.”
