Karol Markowicz of the New York Post is glad to live here in the greatest nation on Earth. But some people don’t share her gratitude.
Lol… I wish all of the America haters could travel and learn appreciate everything they have here You don’t even need to do something illegal and get arrested I have never appreciated this country more than when I was living abroad It’s why people risk life and limb to get here pic.twitter.com/Eqf98UHUiu

Markowicz: I was born in the Soviet Union. Every July 20, I celebrate the day my mother and I arrived in America.
Our family arrived in waves in the late 1970s. My grandmother and her sister were allowed out first. Then my father. Then us. We didn’t know if we would see each other again. The Iron Curtain could be pulled shut at any time. We left family behind. My mother never saw her father again. Nothing about it was easy.
The late ‘70s were not America’s glory days. Inflation was high, crime was everywhere, there was an energy crisis. But more than any of that, there was a crisis of identity and the pervasive idea that America was not that great and not worth saving. There’s a reason Ronald Reagan was such a popular president, winning 49 states in his re-election bid: he reflected America’s greatness, and he did not for one moment allow Americans to forget how lucky they were.
This July 4th, so many people took to social media to say they were disappointed in their country, that they didn’t feel like celebrating it. They were mad about the Supreme Court. They were angry at their fellow Americans.
The luckiest people in history somehow don’t know it. Their faces blue from holding their collective breath until they are given even more than they have already. The people who have woken up on 3rd base, who have been blessed through the accident of birth to live their whole lives in the greatest, freest country the world has ever known, are somehow still unhappy with their lot. It’s sometimes too much to bear. For those of us who have family who have never tasted this freedom, this spoiled, miserable, ungrateful class of people can be particularly galling.
They don’t know how lucky they are, and they don’t know how their unappreciativeness looks to the rest of the world. Only the comfortable and the free can take to their Instagram and trash something so good.
I’ve spent my life as a free person in a free place but every July 20, and so many days in between, I think about how it all could have gone so differently. Our lives were on one track and then a miracle switched us to another one. I got to grow up American. I got to have American children. The people who hate on America, on our Independence Day, have never had the discomfort that comes with the lack of freedom. Their privilege shows in every word they say.
It’s easy to dismiss them, these children throwing a tantrum. But they’re moving us away from each other. They’re severing our collective binds. They target July 4th, Thanksgiving and all the other days when we should pause and reflect, so that we don’t celebrate the obvious bounty of our lives. It keeps us angry and bitter, despite having everything. Our ungraciousness is good politically. It keeps people engaged. But it tears us apart.

I would like this author to know that there are many, many millions of Americans that feel exactly the same and have great concerns for America’s future for our own American descendants. I do not view the anti-America citizens in my country as being REAL Americans at all. But, generally, the foreigners joining our nation since the 60s have been very different from the ones who settled, built and founded the USA. Those Americans came here for the exact foundations on which this nation was founded and made it so. But, since our congresses in the 60s chise to change everything related to immigration, the foreigners have been different, overall. For decades, the majority, all categories, are simply economic opportunists prepared to scam and exploit the USA and Americans for everything materially they can get. Their attitudes are demanding and entitlement, very different from those of this author. We see their refusal to integrate or assimilate here in any way as just part of their greediness, their belief that they are entitled to everything we gave just because we have it, they don’t and they want it. They have no love for America or Americans, not one care about the great monetary costs they are to American taxpayers. They view it as their right to use and exploit us for their personal gain without even learning our language, to maintain all their former allegiances. They have no interest or intention of becoming Americans and they will never do so. They care about our citizenship only if they wish to join our government, etc, that, at least for now, requires cituzenship; the illegals do want amnesty because that would remove any chance of deportation, though they actually have little fear of this as we see when they march/protest waving the flags of their nations and celebrating their national holidays. Nope, overall, the foreigners moving to our country for manh decades now bring only burdens, unwanted negative changes, and benefit only our economy as consumers, and that comes only after we give them education, training, welfare, medical care, jobs, etc, all for free, without requiring a single thing of them, not even gratefulness. They are given so much that few pay any actual income taxes, in comparison, yet they constantly demand their “rights” to everything. Nope, overall, these people are NOTHING like the ones who bui,t America. And they are doing their part, in the overallplan, to destroy the USA, to turn it into just another cesspit, corrupt nation of socialism/welfare ruled by despots exactly like their homelands that they retain all allegiance to.
Dont VOTE for these fools &ask why do U want to be elected if U hate America
