It has been almost two years since former President Donald Trump left the White House after the highly contested 2020 election. Although there are many who still believe Trump won the election, Joe Biden is now the President and resides in the Oval Office. While this is common knowledge to most Americans, for CNN and many Democrats, they still believe the man deemed the “MAGA King” to be behind the problems currently facing America. Just take legal analyst for CNN, Jeffrey Toobin as an example.

While appearing on “New Day”, Toobin discussed the recent claims that Trump called the speaker of the Wisconsin Assembly and asked if he was going to decertify the results from the 2020 election.

Before giving his thoughts on the matter, anchor Kaitlan Collins stated, “Given the way that this is heating up in Georgia and the questions are what’s happening at the Justice Department if you were a former president, maybe named Donald Trump, would you be making calls to the assembly speaker in Wisconsin just last week or two weeks ago?”

While it hasn’t been confirmed, the accusations were more than enough for Jeffrey Toobin to fire back, “You know if someone had come up to you on the street and someone said, in July of 2022, that they were trying to overturn the election held almost two years ago, you would say this is like a tinfoil hat crazy person. The idea that the former president thinks this could be overturned is so bizarre.”

Toobin wasn’t finished criticizing the former President as being a “tinfoil hat crazy” as he insisted criminal charges should be brought forward. “I don’t know if it counts for criminal intent. It’s almost hard to wrap your mind around… but it just shows that the former president is obsessed with this issue and is not letting it go, and if they are still looking for criminal intent, that is potentially more evidence.”

Trying to understand what Toobin said, one user commented, “Trump has exposed exactly who and what the tin foil hat crazy people are. Liberals and democrats have gone plain crazy. Not Republicans and not most of the American voters.”
