During a recent appearance on MSNBC, Joe Biden’s Assistant Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine made the argument that biological men should be able to compete in women’s sports while also proclaiming we should “empower” kids to undergo “gender affirmation treatment.”

Levine’s appearance on MSNBC was inspired by a recent block against the Biden administration’s attempted imposition of the trans agenda by a federal judge in Tennessee.

On July 15th, Judge Charles Atchley Jr. of the Eastern District of Tennessee ruled that the Biden administration’s directive regarding transgender employees and students being able to use bathrooms, locker rooms and join sports teams that correspond with their gender identity would make it impossible for states to enforce their laws that run counter to the directive.

One such state happens to be Tennessee, which enacted a bill that went into effect in July of 2021 that addressed the bathroom/locker room controversy in schools.

According to the bill summary, HB1233 “requires a public school to provide a reasonable accommodation to a person who…For any reason, is unwilling or unable to use a multi-occupancy restroom or changing facility designated for the person’s sex and located within a public school building, or multi-occupancy sleeping quarters while attending a public school-sponsored activity.”

In the case of the Tennessee law, such reasonable accommodations meant to assuage those in denial of their biological sex would be the likes of single occupancy restrooms or changing facilities. But with Biden’s directive, such laws bearing reasonable solutions would be swept under the rug.

A group of Republican attorney generals pushed back against the Biden administration with this overreaching effort to impose an agenda, which led to the federal judge affording a temporary blocking of the administration’s directive.

Oklahoma Attorney General John O’Connor, who was one of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit against the Biden administration, called the judge’s ruling “a major victory for women’s sports and for the privacy and safety of girls and women in their school bathrooms and locker rooms.”

And right on cue, Biden’s transgender Assistant Health Secretary, Levine, dropped in on MSNBC following the judge’s ruling to proclaim that not only should women’s sports be open to biological men – but that young children should be administered puberty blockers and undergo harmful surgeries.

“So we really want to base our treatment and to affirm and to support and empower these youth, not to limit their participation in activities and sports and even limit their ability to get gender affirmation treatment in their state.”

While Levine didn’t directly say “puberty blockers” or “surgery,” those are two of the pivotal elements that encompass “gender affirmation treatment” – the administering of drugs that chemically castrate individuals as well as mutilating surgeries performed on one’s breasts or genitals.
