Ever see Band of Brothers? For those of you who haven’t, it was the HBO series following the exploits of a company of the 101st Airborne from training in North Carolina to the end of WWII.

It’s truly inspiring. The leadership and the camaraderie are exemplary. My dad is a veteran and he loved it. I like American history and I thought it was great. What does this have to do with the subject of the article?

Lt. General Gary Volesky commanded the 101st Airborne in Iraq. After that he commanded I Corps and all ground troops in Iraq. So a man who has shown tremendous service to his country and has commanded one of the most historically prestigious units in the Army, now that he is retired, loses his First Amendment rights because he dared to mock Joe Biden’s nurse?

Yup, that’s the way it is in Joe Biden’s America. Joe, who has never served his country in uniform, and his henchmen feel perfectly comfortable doing this because very few press outlets will have the courage to defend General Volesky.

Well, for my dad and grandad, for all the other men and women out there who were in the Army, for all those who are retired like the General, we gotta say this is BS! The General is a free American and can say what he wants.

Fox: “A retired three-star general of the U.S. Army has been suspended from a “mentor” position after sarcastically congratulating first lady Jill Biden for learning “what a woman is.” Volesky is not serving as an active member of the military and is a civilian employee.

The Army confirmed the suspension to Fox News Saturday and confirmed speculation that the veteran was under internal investigation for mocking Biden.

Fox News Digital reached out to the U.S. Army for clarification on the matter. A spokesperson for the Army confirmed that Retired Lt. Gen. Gary Volesky has been suspended. It also confirmed that he was part of an “inquiry,” but provided no further details.”

“Lt. Gen. Theodore Martin, commanding general of the Combined Arms Center, has suspended retired Lt. Gen. Gary Volesky from performing duties as a Highly Qualified Expert — Senior Mentor pending the outcome of the commander’s inquiry,” the Army told media.

“For nearly 50 years, women have had the right to make our own decisions about our bodies. Today, that right was stolen from us,” Jill Biden wrote in the aftermath of the Dobbs case. “And while we may be devastated by this injustice, we will not be silent. We will not sit back as the progress we have already won slips away.” What crap. “Glad to see you finally know what a woman is,” Volesky replied. Damn straight.

General Volesky has First Amendment rights like any other American. And his tweet was pretty soft compared to the vomit that the left tweets. I hope the General gets reinstated. If not, hope he tweets a lot more.
