WASHINGTON, DC – The sentiment of the old adage ‘saying the quiet part out loud’ was seemingly thrown out the window during a recent CNN interview with Joe Biden’s Director of the National Economic Council, as he proclaimed of “the future of the Liberal World Order” when asked about how Americans should navigate soaring fuel prices.

On June 30th, CNN host Victor Blackwell interviewed Brian Deese, who serves as Biden’s Director of the National Economic Council. Considering the economy is an important matter impacting Americans of all stripes – especially at the gas pump – Blackwell asked Deese what Americans who may not be able to weather the economic storm should hear during these uncertain times.

“The military analysts, the director of national intelligence, they say this could be a long war – measured in years. I think everyone understands why this is happening but is it sustainable? What do you say to those families who say, ‘Listen, we can’t afford to pay $4.85 a gallon for months, if not years, this is just not sustainable’?”

Deese rendered an answer that, while rife with the typical jargon of ‘the administration is doing all it can,’ he also stated that what the Biden administration is doing in light of the Russia/Ukraine conflict and rising fuel prices occurring in tandem is part of securing the “Liberal World Order.”

“Well, what you heard from the president today was a clear articulation of the stakes. This is about the future of the Liberal World Order, and we have to stand firm. But at the same time, what I’d say to that family and Americans across the country is you have a present administration that is going to do everything in its power to blunt those price increases and bring those prices down.”

Politico contributor Alex Thompson had shared a clip of the above-featured interview to Twitter, where he also emphasized the unusual mentioning of this “Liberal World Order.”

It goes without saying that the utterance of said “Liberal World Order” spawned general unease within the comments section of Thompson’s Twitter post.

One commenter pointed out that Biden isn’t in office to play “world order” games but to tend to the interests of the American people.

“He is the elected leader of the USA, not the ‘liberal world order.’ He needs to focus on his country, not the future of rogue entities like the UN, World Bank, IMF, WTO, and the WHO. Those only exist to make money for others, operate against US interests, and self-perpetuate.”

Another commenter acknowledged Deese’s prior work with BlackRock, writing,” Deese worked for Blackrock. He spent three years as global head of sustainable investing. Another pig at the taxpayer trough. Liberal world order- You are all going to be poor, and you’ll like it.”
