With no word yet from former President Donald Trump on what the future holds and if he will be running again in 2024, many have wondered who the GOP will back if he doesn’t run. While there are numerous Republicans making names for themselves in D.C., the Democrats have constantly struggled as President Joe Biden continues to fall in the polls and Vice President Kamala Harris failed to impress voters. But while the DNC hopes for a miracle, on the other side of the aisle, one name appears at the top of the list, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. And not only that, it seems DeSantis has gained support from none other than podcaster Joe Rogan.

Having been the target of the woke mob and cancel culture, on a recent episode of Rogan’s podcast, he and actress Gina Carano, another victim of cancel culture, discussed the possibility of DeSantis becoming the next President of the United States. Rogan pointed out the COVID-19 pandemic, “I feel like what he did for Florida, a lot of people gave him a lot of grief, but ultimately he was correct. He was correct when it comes to like deaths, he was correct. And when it comes to protecting all vulnerable populations, he was correct in terms of distribution of monoclonal antibodies.”

The host added, “He was furious when the government tried to pull those, they were trying to pull very effective treatments. You know, he is not perfect. He’s a human being, but, um, what he’s done is stand up for freedoms. People think that, that this was some weird gaslighting shit that went on where people equated freedom and saying the word freedom to like right-wing bigotry and hate is so strange.”

As Rogan mentioned, due to the Biden administration and the government overreach that surrounded the pandemic, DeSantis rose within the GOP to become a household name. With Republicans calling for him to run and Joe Biden struggling to stay afloat, the idea of DeSantis making a run for the Oval Office gains support each day.
