PHILADELPHIA, PA – Another one of George Soros’ dominoes appears to be poised to fall, as a second district attorney whose campaign was largely funded by Soros is facing a recall.
Last week, Red Voice Media reported on San Francisco’s DA, Chesa Boudin, being successfully recalled due to his refusal to seriously prosecute criminals (his one job). Now, Larry Krasner in Philadelphia is facing impeachment for similar reasoning, according to reports.
The effort began on Monday thanks to Republican State Representatives Tim O’Neal, Josh Kail, and Torren Ecker as crime skyrockets in the City of Brotherly Love. The lawmakers said he’s created an “unchecked” environment of crime and violence with his soft-on-crime policies, and they’re confident they’ll be able to get bipartisan support.
Krasner, reportedly, said that the move is unconstitutional. “What they are doing in terms of impeachment, clearly without a legal basis, it is clearly unconstitutional,” he said. “And that will all come out as this proceeds, if it proceeds at all. They have no legal basis whatsoever, even if they do not like what the Philadelphia district attorney is doing in terms of how shall I put it, they are having fewer people from Philly in their jails. Oh, my.
“You don’t suppose there’s an economic incentive there to have more people from Philly in their jails, even if they do not like it? That is not called impeachment. We have elections in the United States. We count all the votes. We don’t lie about whether our count in Philadelphia spoken about what administration they want making decisions on these cases.”
Last week, retired police officer Nick Gerace spoke on Fox & Friends First, saying, “Do not come to Philadelphia. You’re not safe.”
Speaking to Fox & Friends co-host Todd Piro, Rep. Kail said, “We want to highlight the dereliction of duty that we’ve seen from this district attorney. Lives have been lost, property has been destroyed, and really families have been crushed. Enough is enough. And we need to do something, and we need to get back to the basics in this commonwealth and in this nation.
“Really, we need to get back to law and order. Chaos has had too much of a reign in Philadelphia, and it’s time to stop it.”
Krasner has denied that there is a crime problem in the city, despite data saying otherwise. He said that even though homicides have hit the highest in decades, the NRA is to blame and not the criminal-friendly environment that he has helped to create.
“It certainly isn’t an easy process, and it’s an extraordinary step,” O’Neal said. “But we’re confident that this is going to be a bipartisan effort. Larry Krasner’s failures as a district attorney in Philadelphia are well known and very public.”
“He’s completely lost his mind,” Ecker said. “The people of the city aren’t backing him. Former leaders of the city, current leaders of the city, have called for… him to step in and start prosecuting crimes.”
“We don’t have a crisis of lawlessness,” Krasner said in December. “We don’t have a crisis of crime, we don’t have a crisis of violence. It’s important that we don’t let this become mushy and bleed into the notion that there is some kind of big spike in crime. There isn’t. There is not a big spike in crime. … There is not a big spike in violent crime. Neither one of these things is true.”
The Articles of Impeachment against Krasner will first head to a House committee. If it makes it out of committee, it will need a simple majority vote to pass in the House, then a two-thirds majority would be needed in the Senate.
